One of the most talked about Wrestlers in the game right now on not only main shows but Indy events as well Chris Dickinson sit down interview with our very own Eric Novak on the All Real Wrestling Podcast to discuss his start in pro-wrestling, feelings about Moxley, and his current state as a member of the NJPW roster!
After discussing some begins and having a conversation about wrestling and getting a feel Eric asked him about his first real break into wrestling in which he replied.
“I’ve been on the indies for so long. I’ve been doing it without any help of any companies or televisions and it was honestly a blessing because I wrestled and did a thing for evolve and NXT In 2018 with my tag team partner at like WWE access and it didn’t lead to anything and we were getting out the door of evolve because it was already crumbling as it was kinda crappy and something about the indies man like when I debuted at PWG and growing is all the part in wrestling and I’ve loved being apart of GCW and the growth of them but New Japan the most. You have to understand that before the pandemic and I was working for all these other companies and I was planning to go back to Japan.”
While on the subject Eric decided to ask more about his feelings about New Japan and what he thinks of it in which Chris Responded.
“So I started to examine the landscape and thinking about some goals and the future and New Japan is it man. It’s definitely the best wrestling company in the world and you know if I’m going to wrestle for a big wrestling company like AEW Or wwe then it’s gotta be New Japan Pro wrestling and I saw that they started that NJPW Strong show and I was like ‘Oh man this is my opportunity.’ And we didn’t know I mean we still don’t know but the time has Elapsed and had no idea what was going to happen and I shot my shot and now I’m wrestling for NJPW and when I first got my foot in the door. Given the circumstances of what was going on in the world and what makes it sweeter is that NJPW Has treated me so well and they are such a great company seeing how they have the same vision. Like having seen Shibata and how he trains the Young lions of the LA Dojo and the shared minds of how well everyone works together in the locker room and I want to work in a company where we agree how things are done you know? That’s just a given. It’s a no brainer it’s what everyone would want so I feel like that moment where I got my foot in the door is with New Japan.”
Continuing on with the interview having some laughs and jokingly said some things the topic GCW Was brought up and Eric decided to ask about Chris Feelings toward him to wrap the video up and he said.
““Moxley is a Stud man. He’s got to be like a millionaire right? And he’s done so well for himself and he shows up to training and works hard if not harder then everyone else in the room and I’m talking shoot training and catch wrestling submission wrestling and getting down on the mat and just learning everything and he works hard and he always wants to learn something different and I’ve had a couple conversations with him and he’s a great guy very smart and he’s passionate about what he does and when you get in a position where you can call your own shots then do what makes you happy because pro wrestling can be anything you want it to be and he’s a great example of doing his own thing and I think if we did it again now it would be something seeing how we trained together and I did enjoy teaming with him and that was awesome that one was dope man I appreciate him.”
