Sasha Banks and Naomi have been suspended indefinitely, have had their merchandise taken off WWEShop, and have had their titles vacated.
Earlier tonight on Friday Night Smackdown, Michael Cole stated on commentary that Banks and Naomi “let us all down” when they walked out of Raw before the main event. Cole stated that they “walked out on of the building after leaving the titles on John Laurinaitis’ desk, this disappointing fans and fellow superstars.
Cole then repeated the statement that WWE had put out on their website and social media earlier this week. He went on to announce that Banks and Naomi have been suspended indefinitely, and a tournament will be held to crown new WWE Womens Tag Team Champions.
Sasha Banks is a five time Raw Women’s Champion, a one time Smackdown Womens Champion, and a three time Womens Tag Team Champion. Naomi is a two time Smackdown Womens Champion, and a one time Womens Tag Team Champion.
It is worth noting that both their contracts are set to expire sometime within the next couple months however it is unclear whether he suspension has freezed their contracts
