ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 sets the bar for the weekend of wrestling. With a very entertaining show from start to finish, with no match really being an outlier of quality. A great feel for this event for the whole thing. A handful of amazing matches like Hechicero Vs Michael Oku, Athena Vs Thunder Rosa and Nick Wayne Vs Titan having a hell of the match. The bar of the match of the weekend has been set, Konosuke Takeshita Vs Bandido is a classic match that you must see. A perfect match from bell to bell.
An angle to set up a Zero Hour match for All in happened. We know Hechicero is next for Bandido. Billie and Athena are still a close duo. And strangely The Dark Order Vs The Frat House was a zero hour match yet being one of the stories of weekly TV? That also saw Brodie Lee Jr. aid the Dark Order. A great show altogether that definitely performs well on the WR Scale.
ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 brings a loaded event to start a massive weekend for AEW and Wrestling as a whole. With the first PPV later on during the year, we have two marquee world title matches. Forever Champion Athena faces Thunder Rosa. Bandido takes on a former multi champion, Konosuke Takeshita. Sons Of Texas, Lee Moriarty and Nick Wayne are all scheduled to defend their ROH Championships. An Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion will be crowned in a Wild Card Four Way and much more.
ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 Zero Hour:
GOOD Blake Christian Vs Jay Lethal: ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 Zero Hour First Match
This is just fine. Its well wrestled, with Jay Lethal also targeting the leg of Blake Christian. Blake continues to be the opposite of his character and does a lot of stuff that is just way too over the top and not “Vanilla.” The match really doesn’t grow and progress into anything and it ends rather abruptly with Christian locking in the Vanilla Choke Zero and Lethal tapping quickly. Lethal is better than a pre-show loss to Blake Christian.
Results: Blake Christian by Submission via Vanilla Choke Zero / Muta Lock

AMAZING The Dark Order, Reynolds, Uno, and Silver Vs The Frat House, Cole Karter, Griff Garrison and Preston Vance: ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 Zero Hour Highlight
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 1
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.75
This is a very well done match from bell to bell. A shocking/confusing inclusion to the Zero Hour as this had been a main storyline on the ROH product. The crowd is firmly supportive of The Dark Order, especially Jon Silver. The Frat House get their heat as they are able to physically dominate Alex Reynolds. Building towards a hot tag with Evil Uno getting a good stretch. Jacked Jameson ends up being ejected after trying to cheat. The paddle that the frat based faction have used before is used. Preston Vance looks to take advantage but Brodie Lee Jr. ends up arriving and being the distraction for The Dark Order to take control. Evil Uno wins with a discus clothesline to end probably the best tag match of the night.
Results: The Dark Order by Pinfall via Evil Uno with a Discus Clothesline on Preston Vance

GOOD Diamante Vs Lady Frost:
To start the match, the code of honor ends with a forearm strike from Diamante. Establishing a bit of disrespect and a reason for them to start striking back and forth. The strongest aspect of this match is just how hard they were hitting each other. Using the hard hitting strikes and well done psychology to sell it. Wrestled well enough until Diamante got the win with a rope assisted rolling cutter. Fun match but nothing more.
Results: Diamante By Pinfall via Rope Assisted Rolling Cutter

GOOD The Von Erichs Vs The Premiere Athletes:
This is another well worked match with nothing outstanding about it. The crowd definitely is hot for the Texas boys, Marshall and Ross. There are a couple of nice spots like the pop up spinebuster, along with a few nearfalls. Mark Sterling tries to get involved but is taken out. Marshall gets the moonsault to win.
Results: Marshall Von Erich by Pinfall via Moonsault

Welcome to what a proper opener is meant to do. A preview of what is to come. Compared to Final Battle Mansoor Vs Atlantis Jr. was relatively meh. This is what I expect. A hot match seeing a clash of styles. Hechicero is a lot more technical with submissions and transitions. Michael Oku being the weaker technical wrestler but having some athleticism like the Moonsault, and the fosbury flop. Both being sent into the ropes was a great way to show that they were evenly matched. Hechicero has a nasty, multi limb stretch that targeted the knee that he was working on throughout the contest. Hechicero has Oku where he wanted him and hit both a running knee in the corner and his Spiking headscissors that was taken beautifully from Oku. Great match and the right to open the show.
Results: Hechicero by Pinfall via Spiking Flying Headscissor Leg Hook

GREAT Adam Priest Vs AR Fox Vs Atlantis Jr. Vs Lee Johnson – 50K Four Way:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.50
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.75
This is a fine match, it’s enjoyable from bell to bell. AR Fox was always gonna win this as he is the most valuable member to AEW/ROH. Lee Johnson is getting there, Adam Priest isn’t signed and Atlantis is a CMLL representative. Adam Priest and Lee Johnson both get some heat in the match. By the end of it, AR Fox gets the win with the Around The World Slingshot Destroyer.
Results: AR Fox by Pinfall via Around The World Slingshot Destroyer

GREAT Lee Moriarty Vs Blue Panther – ROH Pure Championship, Pure Rules:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 1
Innovation: 0.50
You can only do so much with a 64 year old wrestler. While there were moments of Moriarty letting go of pins and the illusion of it not being choreographed slipping. There is a really well done story told within the Pure Rules. Submission wise they truly use the rope break counter and how each star only has three to provide danger to both men’s submissions. Blue Panther is able to compete in the early parts of his first pure rules but Lee is able to take control and prove that this championship and stipulation is his playground. The Border City Stretch in the ropes is a great way to end this match.
Results: Lee Moriarty by Submission via Border City Stretch In Ropes

GREAT The Sons Of Texas Vs The Infantry – ROH World Tag Team Championships:

The Infantry kept on getting a lot of things in their favor. Trish Adora inferring and the duo being able to control and work down Sammy G for the bulk of this match. Shane Taylor hits Dustin with one of the titles to bust the legend up. Sammy ended up taking Taylor out and breaking up the pin on Dustin to save the team. They tease the fact that Sammy was doing a lot of stuff that didn’t matter like going for Shane, but it didn’t matter. The home town champs retain in a fine match.
Results: Sons Of Texas by Pinfall via Final Cut and Swanton Combo

MUST WATCH Nick Wayne Vs Titan – ROH World TV Championship: ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 Sleeper Match Of The Night

This was the first real highlight from the show. A Bell to bell match that displayed Nick Wayne in a technical light. Targeting the knee of Titan and working it down. Titan was brilliant at selling it throughout the match and having to overcome the pain to deliver some offense. Brilliant counters and sequences. Mother Wayne, Nick and Titan were all getting great reactions and the crowd were almost a little mad when Mother Wayne got ejected. That set up Kip Sabian to interfere. Titan gets a great kickout and reaction after the Waynes World Cutter and a big kick. He also got a small package for a brilliant nearfall that was his last effort before being put away. After Nick Wayne is celebrating with his Mother and Kip, Christian Cage appears and comes out to celebrate with him.
Results: Nick Wayne by Pinfall via Fisherman Brainbuster

GREAT Mina Shirakawa Vs Miyu Yamashita Vs Persephone Vs Yuka Sakazaki – ROH Interim Women’s World TV Championship:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.50
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.75
This feels temporary, with Red Velvet not even missing from the event. She was ringside and able to have a staredown with the winner. It’s a fine match but once again, there is really only one true winner. Miyu is TJPW and just in the States for an excursion. Yuka is never consistent enough and Perspehone is another CMLL rep. Persephone feels out of place in this match. We have a lot of Joshi’s in this match and they can easily work with each other. Miyu and Yuka are great and Mina works well with them. Persephone just didn’t fit. Crowd adored Mina, Miyu and Yuka but didn’t really react for the CMLL rep.
Results: Mina Shirakawa by Submission via Figure Four on Miyu

MUST WATCH Athena Vs Thunder Rosa – ROH Women’s World Championship:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 1
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 1
Innovation: 1
I did not believe that Thunder Rosa had a single shot in this match. This is a very well done and very well wrestled match from bell to bell though. Thunder Rosa is selling her damaged back with the history of her injuries. There is some adversity with Rosa trying to battle through the interference from Billie. Also having to convince the doctors she can continue and she does. Athena is the unbeatable champion that knows umpteen ways to defeat you and the Surfboard clutch she worked to the back that was targeted. Perfect ending to continue this historic reign.
Results: Athena by Submission via Surfboard

PERFECT Bandido Vs Konosuke Takeshita – ROH World Championship: ROH Supercard Of Honor 2025 Main Event
Words cannot do this justice. This is a classic, a perfect match from bell to bell. Two of the best in the world for much different reasons. Bandido and Takeshita have great chemistry and the first while is an even and competitive match. The Alpha comes out and Takeshita tries to rip the mask but also busted open the champion. Bandido now has to work from below and to overcome the highly skilled Takeshita. There was a fighting spirit spot from the champion and it fits, what way to throw Konosuke off his game. Bandido overcomes Takeshita with a small package and is able to get the win. What a classic, the bar for match of the weekend has been set.
Results: Bandido By Pinfall via Falcon Arrow Counter Into Small Package
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 5.00 Stars
