William Regal has reflected on last week’s heated promo with MJF, claiming he didn’t answer his emails due to some serious health issues.
William Regal and MJF were part of a very controversial segment on last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. That night, Regal got into a heated word exchange with MJF that got every fan in attendance hanging on the edge of their seats.
During the promo, MJF took major shots towards the former NXT General Manager and claimed he considers Regal to be the man that crushed his ambitions of joining the WWE in the past. Additionally, MJF claimed that Regal sent him an email that made him consider to end his life.
However, during a recent edition of his Gentleman Villain Podcast, William Regal has opened up on this promo and decided to reveal the true reason why he didn’t answer to MJF’s emails. When addressing on this, Regal said:
“This is Darren, now. This isn’t William Regal. First of all it’s bothered me, but it hasn’t bothered me. What I said was real the other night, ‘If all it took was for you to get an extra email that I told you not to send me to get you this fired up, to get you this good at what you’re doing, job done! It actually is sad that you’ve let that be a problem for you for seven years.
He doesn’t remember this, it’s common knowledge now. Not long after we met, I had two bleeds on the brain and I was completely isolated. He doesn’t remember this, it’s common knowledge now. Not long after we met, I had two bleeds on the brain and I was completely isolated.”
William Regal On Why He Thinks MJF Wasn’t Ready To Join WWE
In addition to what he stated before, Regal decided to address on the reasons why he thinks MJF wasn’t ready to be in the WWE back in the day. About this, he said:
“At 19, again I don’t consider you a kid, maybe if you are you’ve had too much of a sheltered life. Maybe at 19, maybe that’s showing you he wasn’t ready. If one email gets him that upset, imagine him turning up at WWE’s P.C. and he’s got to do five days a week and maybe get told off a little bit, and maybe things not go his way. Things have worked out very well for him.”
