    Raw Review June 6th, 2022

Overall, Raw from Green Bay, Wisconsin, did not feature Ken Kennedy tonight, but it was one heck of a follow up show to Hell in a Cell. Cody Rhodes is badly injured and while Seth Rollins teased a sportsman-like handshake, that rivalry is far from over. Rollins attacked Rhodes with the sledgehammer on his bad shoulder and who knows what Cody’s status is for the next few weeks. They swerved us as much as they could’ve. Finn Balor took over the Judgement Day stable from Edge but the crowd under-delivered during the segment. In fact they did all night, outside of a series of roll ups during the main event, Rhodes-Rollins, and Riddle's big one liner during Miz TV. The show was so well booked it is a bit of a shame the crowd wasn’t able to respond in kind. Omos and Ezekiel both squashed their opponents. Asuka and Becky Lynch still have unfinished business, and Rhea Ripley is the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. Oh Yeah, John Cena is coming back on his true 20th Anniversary, June 27!

Preview: (Remove after Preview is written) The Fallout from Hell In A Cell is tonight and we have Cody Rhodes addressing the WWE Universe about his current injury. We also have Judgment Day promising a new member to join them tonight! A Number One Contender for Bianca Belair will be crowned in a fatal four way tonight, Alexa Bliss Vs Doudrop Vs Rhea Ripley Vs Liv Morgan. A championship contenders match with The Usos Vs The Street Profits.

AMAZING Cody Rhodes Opening Promo: Cody comes out in 2 out of 3 pieces of a 3 piece suit to a massive reception from the crowd. His right pectoral muscle is torn and we know that much. Cody starts by welcoming us to Monday Night Raw. Cody shouts us out for the star rating for the match this Sunday. He then starts to talk about his injury. Rhodes doesn’t want to be sad about this setback. He wants us to know that while this is a major setback, he is not going to get down on himself. Seth Rollins was a major obstacle that Cody Rhodes was able to climb, not once, but three times. He says that Rollins is behind him, and he’d like to talk about Money In The Bank. Rhodes can’t possibly be healthy by then but he suggests he might be. Seth Rollins’ music interrupts the promo and it looks like Cody may have gotten ahead of himself in regards to the Architect. He still doesn’t like Cody Rhodes, but after what they went through last night Rollins says, “you have earned my respect.” He even goes as far as saying that Cody is the toughest person he has ever been in the ring with. Seth extends a left handed hand shake to Cody, presumably because Cody’s right shoulder is injured, but with no other explanation than that. As the segment is seemingly over and Rhodes makes his way back up the ramp, Seth Rollins attacks him with a sledge hammer. He removes Cody’s shirt and then goes to work on Cody’s badly bruised and injured pectoral muscle. Even going as far as to jam the head of the sledgehammer into the armpit of Rhodes. After the commercial break, Cody is shown still recovering on the entrance ramp. Cody makes it to his feet before walking out by himself, not getting on the stretcher.

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.25 Stars

AVERAGE Dana Brooke Vs Becky Lynch – 24/7 Championship: Becky Lynch enters first on air, with Dana shown in the ring,  in similar depressing fashion to when she was fueding with Lita earlier this year. Becky Lynch didn’t get her pyro at the right time and was visibly complaining about it. Becky quickly takes control of Dana before Tozawa is chased down to the ring, he gets in the ring before dancing while facing the chasers, Dana rolls up Tozawa to win the championship in the middle of their match. Becky then grabs a mic and challenges Dana to put the title on the line before going to commercial. They come back with Becky suplexing Dana around the ring. After the third suplex Asuka’s theme plays as she makes her entrance. Becky gets another bexploder, and Asuka gets on the apron with Dana trying to roll her up. Dana starts to get some offense right now, Dana getting the handspring elbow before getting a nearfall. Dana misses the front flipping senton. Becky picks Dana up and tries for something but Dana gets a jackknife cover. Asuka grabs Beckys foot to stop her from kicking out. (Summary By Coby)

Results: Dana Brooke by Pinfall via Jackknife Roll Up.

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.25 Stars

GOOD Miz Tv with Riddle: Miz and Maryse enter together kissing on the entrance ramp and then we head immediately to commercial break. Back from the break Miz announces his wife Maryse and then once again plugs his reality show. He follows that with another cheap plug, this time regarding Money in The Bank. Which he of course reminds us he’s cashed in twice to win the WWE title. Maryse takes over the microphone and immediately discusses Miz and Mrs. but not before she disses Green Bay, Wisconsin. Miz puts his hand up for his signature, “when my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut,” spot, but is interrupted by Riddle before he can finish talking. Riddle is on his way to the ring with his scooter and the crowd absolutely loves him. He accuses Miz of creating, “harsh vibes,” which I popped for personally. Riddle shouts out his best buddy, “Randy,” and Miz responds by telling Riddle that, “Randy Orton’s career is over.” This insites Riddle and he tells him to shut up. He’s tired of fighting, “Roman’s minions week after week,” he’s ready to take the Title off Roman. Not only that, he’s mentioned John Cena multiple times, and he does once again, while mocking the Miz. Maryse interrupts and defends Miz’s manhood in a sense, but it doesn’t go well. Riddle tells him to prove it but Miz is not willing to acquiesce. Unfortunately Maryse volunteers The Miz for a match against Riddle and he isn’t ready for a match before his premier party. The answer is no, but as Miz makes his exit, Ciampa blindsides Riddle, and it looks like the Miz has changed his mind.

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

GOOD Miz with Maryse Vs Riddle: Both men are already in the ring but with Riddle already hurting from Ciampa attacking him in the previous segment, Miz took off his three piece suit he was wearing for the Miz Tv segment. They come back and the match is alright started, Miz hits Riddle in the stomach with a knee before working on Riddle with a headlock. Riddle starts to fight back starting to hit his corner forearms before Miz counters. Riddle gets a powerslam and then a draping ddt to tribute to Randy. Maryse pulls Miz out of the way of the penalty kick from the apron. Miz runs to the apron but Riddle gets Miz and pulls his pants down stripping him to his underwear. Miz gets in the ring and attacks Riddle. Miz is gifted Maryse’s purse as Maryse gets on the apron to distract the ref. Riddle ducks the Purse shot and gives him an RKO for the win. To follow from the entertaining Miz Tv segment, this match was just as fun as the segment.  (Summary By Coby)

Results: Riddle by Pinfall via RKO

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

GREAT Street Profits Vs The Usos – Championship Contendership: The Street profits start quickly with two early pin attempts but to no avail. They use some tandem offense for a double flapjack on Jimmy Uso before he rolls out of the ring and is consoled by his twin brother Jey. They have a brief conversation before rolling back in where Jey tags Jimmy into the match. Jey corners Montez with right hands, but not before Ford pops up and delivers some right hands of his own. Ford pushes Jey to the corner and brings in Dawkins, they combine for a double shoulder block followed by an assisted backdrop on top of Jey. Jimmy calls for Jey to roll back out of the ring and he obliges before rolling back in to restart the action. Dawkins tags in Ford who immediately attacks Jey with a back body drop and then clotheslines him to the outside. Ford follows with a dive off the ring steps as we are sent to commercial break. Back from the break Dawkins is hit by a double spinebuster from the Uso’s and Jimmy is the legal man. He drives Angelo to the ropes and keeps him isolated in the Uso corner. Jey is tagged in and he delivers essentially a superman punch before mounting him and delivering some ground and pound. Dawkins is absolutely buckled by an uppercut and Jimmy Uso is tagged into the match. Jimmy hammers away with right hands in the corner on Dawkins and then scores on a running hip strike that nearly knocks Angelo unconscious. The Uso’s are now fully in control of the match. Dawkins nearly comes alive but the veteran instincts of the Uso’s allow them to keep their 2 on 1 advantage and throw him into the stairs as we head to our second commercial of the match. Out of the second break Jey Uso tries to pin Montez Ford for a near fall. Ford is on jelly legs as he tries to stand up, but he manages to hit a back elbow and Angelo Dawkins gets a blind tag. Ford dives on top of Jey, followed by Jimmy on top of both, followed by Dawkins on top of everyone. The legal man Jey Uso is rolled back in the ring and Dawkins hits a spinebuster followed by Montez Ford with his signature high angle frog splash. Somehow, some way, Jimmy is able to break the count. Montez and Jey fight to the outside and Ford knocks Uso over the guardrail. Meanwhile the referee has been counting this entire time, and before the count reaches 10, Montez Ford is able to slip back into the ring for the countout victory.   (Summary by Clark)

Results: The Street Profits by Countout

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars

GOOD Bobby Lashley Promo: Bobby Lashley makes his way to the ring, getting cheered while high fiving the fans. Lashley gets his pyro while standing on the corner before going to a commercial break. Bobby starts it off getting a pop by mentioning Green Bay. Lashley says Omos and MVP had every advantage last night. Lashley says MVP’s biggest mistake is stabbing him in the back. Lashley says it felt damn good to have MVP in the Hurt Lock. Saying they are in his rear view. Theory shows up and walks down saying this time is his instead. Theory says he won his match all by himself saying to get out of his ring. Theory goes for a selfie first before Lashley says it’s his ring. Lashley says let’s fight to see whose ring it is, Theory says first see my bicep with Lashley flexing right after. Lashley points to the United States championship saying if Theory is so confident, put the title. Theory says Lashley beat Drew, Randy Orton, etc but not him. Lashley tells Theory to take a walk as Theory was kicked out of the ring.  (Summary By Coby)

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.00 Stars

GOOD Dominik Mysterio Vs Veer Mahaan: Dominik enters first with his father to a nice pop from the crowd before we are sent to commercial. Veer enters and immediately as the match starts grabs a waist lock and controls Dominik early. Mysterio is somehow able to escape and he actually pulls the ropes to send Veer to the outside. Veer pursues Dominik but isn’t able to catch him thus far. Dom hits him with a baseball slide dropkick to the outside but Veer hits him with a left to the forehead. Veer is having a little trouble dealing with Dominiks agility but as they get back in the ring he hits him with a huge body splash and re-takes control of the match. Mahan and Mysterio struggle back and forth for a bit but Veer slams Dominik’s head off the apron to once again regain control. He throws Dominik right into his father and then kicks Rey straight in the face before we are sent to commercial. Out of the break Veer is back in control briefly but Dominik is out thinking him around the ring. It’s borderline a “rope a dope” strategy. He goads Veer into the corner and hits a 619 and then tries to follow with a frog splash which connects. Mahan kicks out at 1. Dominik is to his feet and he tries for a tornado DDT, misses and is met with a Million Dollar Arm. Veer tries to lock up the Cervical Clutch but Rey Mysterio won’t let him get that far. He intervenes giving Mahan the win by DQ but this is definitely not the end of the Mysterios and Mahan. (Summary by Clark Taylor)

Results: Veer Mahaan by DQ via Rey Mysterio’s interference.

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.00 Stars

MUST WATCH Judgment Day’s Vow to bring a new member: A recap of last night’s awesome 6 person mixed tag team match is shown before they come out. Rhea Ripley goes in her spotlight in her gear from her match later on with Edge/Damien in their suits. After the commercial break, Damien Priest demands the WWE Universe to all rise for Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley then talks about the illusion that caused Aj, Finn and Liv to believe they can win. Rhea says the Judgment Day’s message is spreading, Damien saying its truth and Rhea will get closer to Omnipotence when she wins the main event. Edge says he is the adult speaking, saying how proud he is of Rhea and Damien. Saying Rhea and Damien are oozing confidence since joining him. Edge is presenting the new theme with Finn Balor coming out. Finn is still smiling before Finn comes out with Finn shaking hands with Edge. Edge says how he saw the look in Finn’s eyes, with Finn agreeing about the look, saying he doesn’t want to fight it, and is ready to join Judgment Day. Finn talks about Rhea shielding Edge from getting hit with the Coup De Grace. Finn says he has lots in common with Rhea Ripley and Damien Priest. Damien Priest says they are ready to lose the thing limiting them. Edge is beat down by all getting hit by a chokeslam, a coup de grace, a Razor’s Edge through the table. Rhea breaks a metal piece off of a chair and Finn does the glasgow smile cross face on Edge with the chair piece. Damien Priest then hits the conchairto with Rhea and Finn stopping people from running down. (Summary By Coby)

Clark Taylor and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.50 Stars

SQUASH Cedric Alexander Vs Omos: Omos enters with MVP and they have serious looks on their faces. Their storyline with Cedric Alexander from Sunday is recapped and that may play a role in this match tonight. Omos immediately hits a Two Handed Chokeslam for the finish right away. That is a ballgame, but the celebration is interrupted by the Dirty Dawgs.  (Summary by Clark Taylor)

Results: Omos by Pinfall via Two Handed Chokeslam

SQUASH Otis Vs Ezekiel: The beard is back for Otis and he enters first accompanied by Chad Gable. Ezekiel starts quickly with a few right hands but is caught with a spinning backfist from Otis that puts him on his backside. Otis batters him with shoulders in the corner and then hits a float over exploder suplex. He keeps Zeke grounded with a chin lock. Ezekiel works his way to his feet and sends Otis into the corner. Zeke has his first opening of the match and hes unable to knock Otis off his feet with a series of dropkicks. He does score on a knee strike and then he rolls Otis up with a Crucifix for the victory. He grabs the microphone and addresses KO directly, and he asks for a rematch with KO on Raw next week. KO enters and he has his answer, he’s in such a good mood, he is willing to give Zeke that rematch. There’s a condition though, If he wants the rematch, he must admit right now that he is actually, “Elias.” Ezekiel says, “You’ve got me Kev, I admit it.” He then admits it for real, he says, “My name is Elias,” Then once KO confirms that he has his rematch, Ezekiel goes back and says that he actually, “lied,” and he is really, “Ezekiel.” The segment ends with Ezekiel delivering a flying knee straight to the jaw of Kevin Owens. (Summary by Clark Taylor)

Results: Ezekiel by Pinfall via Crucifix Roll Up.

GOOD Doudrop Vs Alexa Bliss Vs Liv Morgan Vs Rhea Ripley – Number One Contendership for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s championship at Money In The Bank: A recap of the women’s triple threat from Hell In A Cell was shown before the entrances started. Bianca Belair comes out first as she wants to be ringside for the match. Green Bay Packers are shown in the crowd once they are back from commercial break. Alexa Bliss makes her entrance first, Doudrop second, Liv Morgan third, and Rhea Ripley last. Liv Morgan is shown staring at Rhea while Rhea walks down to the ring. Commercial Break happens after all entrances. Match starts off with Rhea and Liv going at it and Doudrop/Bliss going after each other. Doudrop and Rhea have a square off after Liv and Alexa roll out of the ring. Doudrop and Rhea trade shots with Rhea getting her superkick, unable to lift up Doudrop. Liv and Bliss trip Doudrop out of the ring before they both go into the ring to target Rhea, Rhea staying in control of both though. Liv gets a running knee in the corner and the backsplash. Rhea counters Liv and takes her out with a clothesline. Rhea and Alexa trade throat grabs before Rhea stays in control with her power. Rhea beats down Alexa in the corner, Alexa is brought to her feet as she is fighting back but is put back down on the mat. Alexa is being squished into the mat by Rhea’s boot as she stares down Bianca. Rhea then picks Alexa up for the stalling suplex but Liv breaks it up, Liv dropkicks Rhea from behind as Bliss gets a ddt from the dropkick. Rhea grabs Alexa from the apron but Liv dropkicks both Rhea/Alexa down, Doudrop hits a squashing senton on Liv before they go to commercial break. Doudrop is slapping around Alexa in the ring once they come back to commercial. Doudrop has a cobra clutch working down Alexa, as Alexa gets up trying to fight out of it, Doudrop kills the comeback with a nice clothesline to Bliss. Doudrop clotheslines Alexa into the corner sending Bliss out of the ring. Liv sneaks a side knee facebreaker, before Rhea goes after Liv again. Rhea is given a code red by Bliss and Doudrop gets a running cross body to Bliss for a nearfall with Liv breaking the pin. Doudrop is in control of Liv giving her a powerbomb but Liv breaks up the pin like Liv did for her moments before. Doudrop headbutts Alexa back down as Doudrop climbs the ropes but Rhea stops her, Rhea climbs the top rope and the Doudrop goes for a superplex but Alexa and Liv help getting a powerbomb. Both Liv and Bliss try pinning Doudrop and Rhea both getting a kickout. Liv and Bliss go into a sequence of roll ups with Bliss getting a ddt. Liv reverses Twisted Bliss. Doudrop throws Alexa out of the ring and Nikki ASH stops Liv from getting the Oblivion. Nikki and Bliss take each other out with clotheslines, as Doudrop catches Liv’s dive from the top rope giving her a michinoku driver.  Rhea dropkicks the side of Doudrop’s face to break the pin up as Rhea then hits an impressive riptide on Doudrop for the win. Rhea, Finn and Damien stand tall in the ring staring down to Bianca. (Summary By Coby)

Results: Rhea Ripley by Pinfall via Riptide on Doudrop
