Rampage Grand Slam was great to watch tonight especially with the stacked card we had but there were some matches I felt should have either been longer or happened on a different platform. But the matched did not disappoint the fans especially the main event and opener of Rampage because these are the type of matches that we need to see when rivalries are heating up like Sting/Darby with the House of Black, all four competitors gave it what they got but I do believe that House of Black should have won seen they are the most talk group in AEW at the moment. Jungle Boy and Rey Fenix didn't disappoint at all, and I feel like one day we might see these two fighters going for singles titles in the near future. The two squash matches could have been used for next week's Rampage just to give more time to perform.
Grand Slam continues on Rampage where we will see Sting/Darby Allin taking on Brodie King/Buddy Murphey in a No DQ match. Plus, the TBS Champion Jade Cargill defends her title against Demante with Trina in her corner and Eddie Kingston will get his hands on Sammy Guevara in Queens NY. Also, we will find out who will challenge the new AEW champion Jon Moxley in the golden ticket battle royale and will Ricky Starks get some retribution after All Out’ match as he takes on Powerhouse Hobbs.
GREAT Sting/Darby Allin vs House of Black
The House of Black comes out with their entrance as all three members are standing together in the ramp but, Sting and Darby come from behind and blind attacks them but the numbers and power of the house of black is too much to handle. Brodie take out Darby for the momentum and try to go for a 2 v 1 on Sting but Sting as always is standing strong on his own and as he is about to hit the stinger drop brodie stops Stings momentum. As it looks like Brodie was going for an avalanche move on Sting, Darby comes for the save and gives an avalanche code red on Brodie. On the edge of the ring Sting and Buddy are fighting, Stings takes Buddy down on the tables outside, but as Sting was going for a high dive on the top rope, Brodie comes for the save by pushing Sting from the top rope crashing to the tables and Julia Hart handcuffed Sting in the middle of the ring while they focus on Darby. With Brodie and Darby taking each other out when they fell off from the entrance ramp to the tables, Mathew focuses on Sting still handcuffed and has him sitting on a chair, as Buddy was going to hit Sting with the bat, the lights goes out and the Great Muta comes out and helps his long rivalry Sting by misting Mathews, sting hits the scorpion death drop and gets the win for his team. The match was great just like any DQ match should be and all the competitors gave it 100% for the audience.
Results: Sting/Darby def. The House of Black

GOOD Matt Menard/Angelo Parker vs Action Bronson/Hook
Angelo and Hook start the match where Angelo hits the big boot but then Hook avoids a clothesline and reverses Angelo’s hip toss, landing on his feet and hits a suplex. Angelo then tags Matt asking for Action Bronson to tag in which Hook does and we see some moves from Bronson and gets the momentum with a shoulder tackle. As Hook tags back in, Angelo and Matt get the offense on Hook and keep the momentum by taking in and out, so Bronson doesn’t get in the ring. Bronson gets the hot tag and start running down Angelo and Matt with shoulder tackles, body slam, but in the end Action and Hook get the win with double submissions.
Result: Hook/Action Bronson def. Angelo and Matt

SQUASH Wardlow/Samoa Joe vs Tony Neese/Josh Woods
Mark Sterling starts talking about how Wardlow was about to powerbomb him, but his two athletes stop Wardlow and says they are going to beat their opponents. Wardlow and Samoa Joe come out on the ramp where they both start speed walking to the ring and a brawl breaks out. With Wardlow and Woods are taking out, Joe and Neese are fighting in the ring, but Joe gets the win with the muscle buster on Neese, but Woods come from behind, attacks Joe then Neese join in with a 2 on 1 situation. Wardlow comes for the save and finally powerbombs Sterling not once, not twice but three times. I would have prefer seeing a real fight between all four fighters after Woods battle with Samoa Joe last week. Feni
Results: Wardlow/Samoa Joe def. Tony Neese/Josh Woods
AMAZING Jungle Boy vs Rey Fenix
Fenix forward rolls but Jungle catches him on his shoulder, Fenix reverses then gets Jungle on the top rope, goes for a muscle buster but Jungle reverses and Fenix gets the moment with top rope high flying hip toss. So far, the match has been a medium pace where the audience can keep track on every movement and are going back and forth where each fighter gets a little offense in their side. Jungle Boy and Fenix are going back and forth with the chops, but Jungle get the momentum when he uses the rope, hits Fenix with a reverse clothesline, connects with brain buster but Fenix connects with a rolling cutter. Both competitors are hitting with strong moves, but each time one person is getting the momentum, the other stops it and gain the momentum for themselves. After hitting the gory cutter and a high-flying body dive, Fenix could only get two near counts and as he is going for the three amigos, Jungle boy stops after the second and hits Fenix with an elbow to the back of the head and only gets a two count. As Fenix was going to end the match with a spinning blue bird but Jungle Boy reverses and gets the win with a roll up pin. These two fighters show why they are the toughest in AEW but before Jungle Boy could celebrate, Cristian Cage comes out on the ramp and as Luchasaurus theme hits, Luchasaurus comes out from under the ring and attacks Jungle Boy. Cage then talks about how he beat Jungle Boy in an easy squash match.
Results: Jungle Boy def. Rey Fenix

GOOD Eddie Kingston vs Sammy Guevara
Sammy heads to the ring and calls Eddie a fat etc. but Eddie then goes for gauges the eyes and throws Sammy into the barricade with hatred. As Eddie was about to hit Sammy from the edge of the ring, Sammy throws over Eddie hitting the outside floor where Sammy has now gained the momentum. Sammy wanted to get the count out win but somehow Eddie got back before the 10 count and Sammy starts attacking Eddie where he connects with some punches, pump kick but Eddie is still fighting back but as Eddie was getting the offense Tay interferes giving Sammy time to hit the double rope cutter and only gets a two count. These two competitors have so much hatred for each other that they are both going back-and -forth but Eddie hits Sammy with three back hand fists but instead of going for the pin, he connects with a submission and gets the win but hasn’t let go of the submission and the referee reverse the decision which gave Sammy the win.
Results: Sammy Guevara def. Eddie Kingston (Referee reverse decision)

SQUASH Diamante vs Jade Cargill (TBS Championship)
Diamante uses her speed against Jade by hitting some kicks on the leg but with Jade strength and power stops Diamante. Diamante chop lock to the leg of Jade gets the momentum until she goes for a high dive outside the ring but Jade catches her and gets the win to retain her TBS title. The result and length of the match doesn’t surprise me but could have gone longer to keep the audience more focus on Jade.
GOOD Golden Ticket Battle Royale
Hangman comes out but before he could get in the ring, Andrade’s faction attack Hangman from behind and a brawl breaks out when Dark Order come to the rescue, but more entrants keep coming out and everyone is just fighting whoever is moving. Pentagon eliminated Devari with a superkick. Best Friends eliminated Carter. Hangman and Danhausen eliminated QT with double clothesline. Butcher and Blade eliminated Danhausen. Brian Cage eliminated Chuck Taylor, Dante. Best Friends eliminated Jack. Lance Archer eliminated Trent. Dalton Castle eliminated Brian Cage with the help from The Boys. Daniel Garcia eliminated Dalton and Lee Moriarty eliminated Garcia. Matt Hardy eliminated Lee Moriarty. Matt Hardy eliminated Blade. Butcher eliminated Matt and Quen. Rush eliminated Kassidy. Rush eliminated John Silver. Pentagon eliminated Archer. The final three were Hangman, Rush and Lethal but Hangman hits the lariat clothesline on Lethal and eliminates Lethal. The final two in this Battle Royale is Hangman and Rush where both competitors are going all out and both fighters are outside of the edge ring where it looks like Rush was going to end it, but Hangman hits the dead eye on the edge of the ring and eliminates Rush to with the Battle Royale for a chance at the AEW championship. Not bad but the end result should have got differently in my opinion but this match between Hangman and Moxley might entertain the audience.
Result: Hangman wins the Golden Ticket Battle Royale

Great Powerhouse Hobbs vs Ricky Starks (Lights Out)
The match starts of quick with both competitors throwing punches back and forth, but Hobbs gets the momentum with a knee to the gut, Irish Whips Starks and Starks ducks under each clothesline and Lou Thesz Press on Hobbs and hitting some hammer punches. Hobbs regains the momentum as he grabs a table under the ring and slams the table on top of Starks back and keep attacking while also punishing him with weapons. Hobbs continues the punishment by using the announcer’s belt, steal chairs on the back, as Hobbs was going to throw Starks onto the chair set up in the corner, but Starks reverses and throws Hobbs to the corner chair and connects with a DDT. After hitting a running power slam on a pile of chairs, Ricky somehow kicked out in two count pin attempt. Hobbs was going to hit Ricky with the light fixture that he ripped but Starks ducks under and spears Hobbs into the corner table, then hits Hobbs with the light fixture to the head and connects with a Roshambo for the win. Match was great between these two fighters, would have preferred more time for this match just to see how far both fighters would have gone like previous lights out matches in AEW.
Result: Ricky Starks def. Powerhouse Hobbs
