WWE Veteran Speaks on Paige VanZant Not Training
A veteran of the wrestling business Gangrel is currently training students in Florida as part of Coastal Championship Wrestling. One of those students just happened to be Paige VanZant as she was making the transition from the Octagon to the Squared Circle.
In an interview with K&S Wrestlefest Paige VanZant’s coach confirmed the following:
“Yes, I did [train VanZant] for a little while there. She did well; she didn’t train as much as I would have liked for her to train, but I haven’t seen her since that match…. She did that match, she wrote me, and said, ‘Hey, I’d like to go over the match with you and some critique.’ And I said, ‘Sure,’ and that’s the last I heard from her.”
VanZant has been trying to keep busy outside of the wrestling business. She was scheduled for a fight in August as part of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship against Charis Sigala. However the fight was cancelled. A rescheduled bout has not been confirmed. Paige VanZant clarified on Instagram that she did not pull out of the fight.
