It is time for our Wrestlers and Wallad of the Week awards. It’s a brand new year, and we are already off to an exciting start. Each week, me and Chaos will hand out awards based on the events that occur in the world of wrestling!
Just a quick run through of the categories. There will be three awards that will be handed out, men’s wrestler of the week, women’s wrestler of the week and wallad/idiot of the week. Let’s get into this week’s awards!
Men’s Wrestler of the Week: CM Punk

Only one person is worthy of this award this week. Not only did CM Punk main event the biggest WWE RAW of all-time, but in the process he beat Seth Rollins in a match decades in the making. The story between Seth and Punk is one that has been building for a while, and the match itself didn’t disappoint with both men putting on a performance worthy of a main event on the Netflix debut. After the match, Punk cut a fantastic promo once again proving his doubters wrong and officially making himself a part of the 2025 Royal Rumble match. As he looks to finally book his ticket in the main event of Wrestlemania.
Women’s Wrestler of the Week: Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley deserves this award this week, because she finally got her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship back from Liv Morgan. Rhea’s rivalry with Liv has been building ever since Ripley relinquished her title, and after many ups and downs in the storyline, The Eradicator can finally move onto bigger and better things as champion. The two women put on their best match in this rivalry on the Netflix debut though, and they should both be proud of their performances. It was an extra special night for Rhea though aside from her title win, as she got to finally give Dominik Mysterio his comeuppance and had a career-defining moment with The Deadman himself, The Undertaker.
Wallad of the Week: Hulk Hogan

Was there any competition for this award? Well actually The Rock put up a pretty good fight, but nobody was coming close to Hulk Hogan for this award. Hogan decided to make his presence known on the Netflix debut, and so did Los Angeles as they booed him out of the building, as Hogan continued to look visibly frustrated with the reaction. But unsurprisingly, he acted like nothing was wrong and continued to cut the most useless promo of the night and decided to advertise his Real American Beer in the process. Hopefully WWE learns their lesson and doesn’t let this man on their weekly programs again.
