The in-ring action of this episode was fairly weak. The show built well enough to the main event being the segment. The crowd was solid for the promos including the phenomenal New Day pop. The show excelled in its production as a typical wwe show would. And there were lots of things done to build to the Deadline event. From the Women’s promo packages, to the Isla Alba brawl. The New Day’s return. The Grayson Waller Effect segment and Bron/Apollo going fishing. All matches were built up in a really good fashion.
The final stop before “NXT Deadline” is tonight. Both Iron Survivor Challenges will have their fields completed. What happens between Champion and Challenger before their match at Deadline. The Grayson Waller Effect will take place with the rest of the Iron Survivor field. And the Return of the Don takes place tonight.
GOOD Axiom Vs Andre Chase Vs Von Wagner – Iron Survivor Qualifier:
Andre Chase gets a big pep talk from Duke Hudson before his entrance. This match was just a good triple threat match. Everything was good within the match. Axiom getting the victory was the right call.

Bron Breakker and Apollo Crews go on a fishing trip ahead of their championship match.
Indus Sher attacks a jobber before saying they decline the challenge from the Creed Brothers. Stating that Julius isn’t 100% so they don’t want the lay up victory.
SQUASH Xyon Quinn Vs Tony D’Angelo With Channing Lorenzo:
After the match, Wes Lee comes out after being warned by Tony. Wes says he will have his eyes on Tony as well. Dijak sends a message before Wes Lee evades out of the ring and to the match.

SQUASH Hank Walker Vs Charlie Dempsey:
During the match, Drew Gulak stood in the entrance way watching the match before leaving after Charlie won.

As Pretty Deadly finish reading their story, The New Day make their shocking NXT appearance. New Day challenges Pretty Deadly before a brawl ensues with NEw Day smashing Christmas gifts over the heads of Pretty Deadly.

SQUASH Isla Dawn Vs Thea Hail:
After the match, Alba Fyre shows up on the titantron before smoke is blown. Alba rises through the smoke before attacking Isla. Officials break up the fight between them before Isla poison mists one of them. Isla retreats as the ref wipes his own face.

SQUASH Edris Enofe and Malik Blade Vs Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs:
This was a fairly short but simple tag match. Including Edris doing a knee strike in a Kenneth Omega fashion from his previous comments. After the match Brooks Jensen got an invite to Deadline from Kiana James.

ABOVE AVERAGE Fallon Henley Vs Indi Hartwell Vs Wendy Choo – Iron Survivor Qualifier:
Indi threw Wendy out of the ring after Wendy hit the splash. Indi connects with the forearm shot to Fallon’s head for the victory. This was a passable match, but nothing majorly exciting. Made sense that it was what it was as the main event segment was the Grayson Waller effect.

GOOD Iron Survivor Challenge Grayson Waller Effect Edition. :
This was a good promo. All men got their time to shine on the mic before the brawl took place. Grayson got a dive with his phone still live on Instagram. All five men brawled to close the show.
