Welcome to another edition of Wrestling Republic’s coverage of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. This time, we’ll put the focus on the 2022 NJPW World & Super Jr Tag League.
The promotion has recently held the final event of this year’s Tag Leagues, which took place from the Sendai Sunplaza Hall in Sendai, Miyagi and presented some very interesting in-ring action. So, with nothing else to say, here are the full results of the NJPW World & Super Jr Tag League Finals:
- Tag Team Match: SAUCEHEARTS (Alex Zayne & El Lindaman) def. Ryohei Oiwa & Kosei Fujita – Lindaman pinned Fujita with the German Suplex Hold.
- Tag Team Match: TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) def. KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight – Haste pinned Knight after he and Nicholls hit the Tank Buster.
- 8-Man Tag Team Match: United Empire (Great-O-Khan, Aaron Henare, TJP & Francesco Akira) def. Flying Tiger (Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask), Alex Coughlin & Gabriel Kidd – TJP pinned Tiger Mask.
- 8-Man Tag Team Match: Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Lance Archer, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI) def. House Of Torture (EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo & SHO) – Suzuki pinned Togo after hitting the Gotch Style Piledriver.
- Shortly after the match ended, Minoru Suzuki made an in-ring promo to announce that Suzuki-Gun will be disbanding by the end of the year.
- 8-Man Tag Team Match: Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, BUSHI & Titan) def. Wild Hips (Clark Connors & Ryusuke Taguchi) & Be-Bop Tag Team (Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano) – Naito pinned Connors after hitting Destino.
- Trios Match: BULLET CLUB (Jay White, Gedo & Taiji Ishimori) def. Kazuchika Okada, Tama Tonga & Master Wato – Gedo pinned Wato.
- NJPW NEVER Openweight Championship, Singles Match: Karl Anderson (c) def. Hikuleo – Anderson pinned Hikuleo after hitting the Gunstun, V2 for the champion.
- Shortly after the match ended, Tama Tonga made his way to the ring and challenged Anderson to a title match. Anderson attacks him with a Gunstun and accepts the challenge, with the match taking place at WrestleKingdom 17.
- NJPW Super Jr Tag League 2022, Final: CHAOS (Lio Rush & YOH) def. BULLET CLUB (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) to become the winners of the Super Jr Tag League 2022 – YOH pinned Austin after hitting the DIRECT DRIVE.
- NJPW World Tag League 2022, Final: Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) def. Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) to become the winners of the World Tag League 2022 – YOSHI-HASHI pinned Fletcher after he and Goto hit Naraku.
