NJPW have recently held Rumble On 44th Street. Jay White, Kazuchika Okada and other NJPW & STARDOM talents were part of the show.
Welcome to another edition of Wrestling Republic’s coverage of Japanese Wrestling. This time, we’ll put the focus on New Japan Pro-Wrestling and its latest show.
The promotion has recently celebrated the Rumble On 44th Street PPV. The event took place from the Palladium Times Square in New York City and featured 9 very interesting matchups.
So, with nothing else to say, here are the full results of NJPW Rumble On 44th Street:
- Tag Team Match: Kylie Rae & Tiara James defeated COSMIC ANGELS (Mina Shirakawa & Waka Tsukiyama).
- Tag Team Match: House of Torture (Yujiro Takahashi & SHO) defeated CHAOS (Rocky Romero & YOH).
- Shortly after the match ended, House of Torture delivered a post-match assault on YOH. The lights went out and Lio Rush appeared in the ring to make the save, aligning himself with YOH for the upcoming Super Jr Tag League.
- STRONG Openweight Championship – Singles Match: Fred Rosser (c) defeated Jonathan Gresham.
- STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship – 3 Way Match: Motor City Machine Guns defeated Aussie Open (c), The DKC & Kevin Knight.
- Alex Coughlin returned and made an in-ring promo. He challenged JR Kratos to a match and announced he will compete in the upcoming World Tag League.
- 6-Man Tag Team Match: Shota Umino, Homicide & Wheeler Yuta defeated Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor, Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs)
- Singles Match: Minoru Suzuki defeated Clark Connors. Ken Shamrock accompanied Connors to the ring
- Shortly after the match ended, Shamrock had a staredown with Suzuki before sharing a hug with him. He then helps Connors to get on his feet, which led to a handshake with ‘The King’.
- SWA World Championship – Singles Match: Mayu Iwatani (c) defeated KiLynn King.
- KOPW 2022 – New York City Street Fight: Shingo Takagi (c) defeated El Phantasmo.
- Tag Team Match: IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White & Juice Robinson defeated Kazuchika Okada & Eddie Kingston.
