NJPW has recently revealed the official blocks for the upcoming G1 Climax 33, which will feature 4 groups of 8 wrestlers battling across July and August.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling is perhaps preparing for one of their most interesting times of the year. With Forbidden Door getting closer every day that passes, the company is also preparing to host the 33rd edition of their most prestigious tournament of the year, the G1 Climax.
After announcing the 32 participants during the recent NJPW Dominion 2023 event, the company had yet to announce the tournament’s official blocks and the wrestlers that will be competing in them.
However, through a press release made earlier today, NJPW has finally revealed the official blocks for the G1 Climax 33. About this, the company announced that the tournament will feature four blocks (A, B, C & D) with eight wrestlers each that promises to deliver more interesting and thrilling matches.
The four blocks and its participants are read as follows:

- SANADA – 8th Consecutive Appearance, Current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
- Chase Owens – 3rd Consecutive Appearance.
- Hikuleo – 1st Appearance.
- Ren Narita – 1st Appearance.
- Shota Umino – 1st Appearance.
- Yota Tsuji – 1st Appearance.
- Gabriel Kidd – 1st Appearance.
- Kaito Kiyomiya – 1st Appearance, former Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Heavyweight Champion.
G1 CLIMAX 33 – B BLOCK
- Kazuchika Okada – 12th Consecutive Appearance, 4 Time Winner (2012, 2014, 2021 & 2022) & Current NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion.
- YOSHI-HASHI – 7th Appearance, 4th Consecutive & Current IWGP & STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champion.
- Taichi – 5th Consecutive Apperance, Current KOPW 2023 Champion.

The G1 CLIMAX 33 will begin this upcoming July 15th in Hokkaido and is scheduled to reach its finals on August 13th, from the iconic Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. The fans will be able to follow all the action live and on-demand from NJPW World and FiteTV.
