The Kabuki Warriors challenge Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the Women’s Tag Team titles on SmackDown
Kayden Carter and Katana Chance retained their tag team titles on the January 19th edition of SmackDown against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. After it was announced they would challenge the Kabuki Warriors on the following SmackDown.
On the January 26th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Asuka and Kairi Sane challenged Carter and Chance. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship titles were on the line.
Carter took off right as the bell rang taking it straight to Asuka she delivered a dropkick sending Asuka to the ground. She quickly tags in teammate Chance who delivers a senton.
Continuing with great offense Carter and Chance give a double dropkick to the Kabuki Warriors. Chance ends up leveling both on the outside of the ring.
Asuka tries to take control of the match with an Ankle Lock to Chance, but she was able to fight out and tag partner r. She then lands a crossbody yet again taking out the Kabuki Warriors.
The match is a lot of back and fourth with great offense and defense. There were a few different near falls.
Later in the match the Kabuki Warriors take control. As Carter and Chance attempt to hit The Afterparty Chance notices Kairi Sane so instead takes her out with a crossbody,
Kari Sane would then send Chance spine first into the announce desk. While that was happening Carter had Askua rolled up, but she kicked out at the count of two.
Asuka would deliver a kick to buy time for Sane to tag in and delivered the In-Sane Elbow. Sane rolls up Chance and gets a pin-fall victory. Asuka and Kari Sane are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
