Naomichi Marufuji won the GHC Heavyweight Championship at the CyberFight Festival 2021, defeating Keiji Mutoh in the main event and pinning him following a knee strike.
After defeating Go Shiozaki at NOAH’s Destination 2021 tournament on February 12, Mutoh held the title for 114 days.
Marufuji is the GHC Heavyweight Champion for the fourth time, matching Takashi Sugiura and Shiozaki for the most reigns.
Marufuji made a short promo after winning the championship, telling fans to keep a watch on him, Mutoh, and the top titles in DDT (Jun Akiyama) and Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (Miyu Yamashita). Both Akiyama and Yamashita then made brief appearances, with Yamashita concluding the presentation by stating that the three champions will advance.
The GHC Heavyweight championship fight was the third of three main events at the Saitama Super Arena’s CyberFight Festival, a supercard that included wrestlers from Pro Wrestling NOAH, DDT, and Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. Akiyama defeated HARASHIMA to retain the KO-D Openweight championship. Yamashita retained the TJPW Princess of Princess Championship after defeating Yuka Sakazaki.
