Just hours after the confirmed hiatus and rebrand of NXT UK to NXT Europe, multiple wrestlers from the UK brand have been released.
Flash Morgan Webster, Mark Andrews, Emilia McKenzie, Dani Luna, Dave Mastiff, Primate, Nina Samuels, Sha Samuels. Ashton Smith, Rohan Raja, Kenny Williams, Sam Gradwell, Jack Starz and Wild Boar, have all been released from the company.
WWE have yet to publicly announce any of the releases, leaving performers to make their own announcements.
This comes just hours after WWE announced that the NXT UK brand would be going on hiatus. This is due to the decision to transition the NXT UK brand to NXT Europe.
How Were The NXT UK Releases Announced?
First was Flash Morgan Webster tweeting: “As of Today WWE and I have come to terms with the terms of my release…”
Flash Morgan Webster is a former NXT UK Tag Champion, he won the tag championships in a heartfelt moment at NXT UK Takeover Cardiff. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster defeated both Gallus and the Grizzled Young Veterans now apart of Joe Gacy’s Schism.
Shortly after Flash announced his release Mark Andrews did as well tweeting: “After six great years with WWE, my time with the company has come to an end…”
Mark Andrews was last on NXT Uk teaming with Wild Boar to take on Symbiosis. He was also featured in the fatal four way that saw Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen with the NXT Uk Tag Team Championships in June.
Wild Boar Mike Hitchman has also announced his release tweeting: “As of today I am no longer under contract with WWE…”
Wild Boar was involved with teaming with Mark Andrews and was also in a chain match against Eddie Dennis in May.
To complete the full release of the Subculture faction, Dani Luna tweeted her release claiming that we will be sick of her already in the coming months. Along with being involve in the subculture faction, Dani Luna last had a run in with the twisted Isla Dawn. Isla had taken some of her blue hair as a symbolized token.
Both Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz were involved with each other as a tag team getting wins over Pretty Deadly earlier this year.
Emilia McKenzie, Amale, and Nina Samuels were among the list that were involved in the NXT UK Women’s division.
McKenzie losing to Lash Legend recently. Amale was one of the four women involve in the title contenders scene along with Isla Dawn, Blair Davenport and Eliza Alexander. Nina Samuels had the Nina Samuels Show as she was an unofficial interviewer.
Kenny Williams and Sam Gradwell were in a rivalry together that saw them have a Back Alley Brawl in April of this year. Kenny was also involved in the most recent NXT Uk championship tournament losing to Tyler Bate in the quarter finals.
Primate was involved in the Symbiosis faction along with Tyson T Bone and their leader Eddie Dennis.
Sha Samuels was the bookie that provided odds on Noam Dar’s matches with Noam Dar being the Heritage Cup Champion.
Ashton Smith along with Oliver Carter recently became the NXT UK Tag Team Champions and in June they relinquished the championships with Ashton’s injury.
Rohan Raja was apart of the Die Familie group lead by Teoman with William Regal’s son Charlie Dempsey.
