AEW star and former TNT Champion Miro has reportedly been off AEW programming because he has been filming a pilot for a new CBS series.
The news was first reported by Fightful Select a couple of weeks ago. According to the report, Miro has been in New York working on the project, though it isn’t exactly known what the series will be about.
Miro confirmed the news himself on both Twitter and Instagram, writing “Super excited about this upcoming pilot. Living in Brooklyn has definitely opened my eyes about living in a city, walking to a gym and groceries. #Dushkin”
This isn’t The Best Man’s first time on the silver screen. Miro has supposedly worked on other film projects in his time outside the ring. His wife, CJ Perry is also reportedly working on projects of her own.
Miro has been off programming since last fall after sustaining a hamstring injury. He hasn’t been in any in-ring action since September 30, and his promo vignettes have stopped airing. It should be noted that he did answer the call to serve as a replacement in a title contender tournament, meaning he has most likely healed this injury.
Miro also signed a four year contract extension with AEW earlier this year, as it was set to expire in spring of this year.
