the former tag team partners Mike Santana and Ortiz challenge each other in a one on one no disqualifications match where anything can go.
Santana and Ortiz used to be tag team partners, but in recent weeks the hatred has only grown stronger. There ha been many promo’s and video packages leading up to this match.
Finally on the October 27th edition of AEW Rampage the pair took it to the ring. They competed in a no disqualification styled match.
The action started as soon as the bell rang. Santana hit Ortiz with a forearm, then Ortiz sent Santana flying out of the ring with a dropkick.
After Ortiz took Santana out he looked under the ring for some items. He found a garbage can and hit Sanatana with it as well as a kendo stick.
The match had fans on the edge of their seats. This was a hard hitting and hard fought battle between the former tag team partners.
Later in the match Ortiz sent Santana through a table. They continued to trade slaps back and forth. Then began trading powerbombs.
At another point in the match Sanatana gave Ortiz a suplex off of the apron onto a pile of chairs.
To win the match Santana hit Ortiz with the Discus Larientand powerbombed Ortiz in the mat.
Mike Santana won the no disqualification match. After the match Santana talked and offered a fist bump as a sign of respect, but Ortiz declined.
Sanjay Dutt came out after the match trying to recruit Ortiz, but Ortiz was not having it.
