Two more men have advanced in the quarterfinal matches held on the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
On the May 17th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown two quarterfinal matches were held as part of the King of the Ring Tournament.
The first men’s quarterfinal match of the night would be Tama Tonga versus LA Knight. Of course, Tonga would be accompanied by Paul Heyman and the Bloodline.
Both men sent each other down to the mat early on in the match. After Tonga sent Knight into the corner Sikoa attempted to distract Knight causing Tonga to be able to attack Knight.
While Tonga struggles to his feet Loa grabs him and pulls him out of the ring, Knight follows with a baseball slide to the outside.
Tama Tonga would deliver a sidewalk slam to LA Knight and then gain victory via a pinfall. The second quarterfinal match of the night would be Randy Orton versus Carmelo Hayes.
Hayes decided to target the knees of Randy Orton, and he was consistently attacking both knees. Hayes would deliver the first 48 and again attack the knees of Orton.
As he was climbing up to the top rope Orton would spike Hayes to the ground. Hayes would get lucky and dogged the RKO and attempt to roll up Orton. Instead out of nowhere, Orton would deliver an RKO and then win through Pinfall victory.
Once the match had concluded the Bloodline would make their way out of the ring, trying to intimidate Randy Orton. The match between Tonga and Orton will take place on the May 24th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
The final match in the King of the Ring tournament will take place on May 25th in Saudi Arabia.
