Pete Dunne has reportedly been offered a contract extension from WWE.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Pete Dunne’s WWE contract was coming to an end, meaning he would be able to appear elsewhere right away should he not re-sign.
In an update provided by Fightful Select, WWE recently offered Pete Dunne an extension to his current contract. There’s no word on the length of the new contract, and if the former NXTUK Champion has actually re-signed or has any plans to.
Pete Dunne joined WWE in 2017, after coming up short to Tyler Bate in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament. Dunne would then proceed to become one of the major names in NXTUK, where he held the NXTUK Championship for a then-record 685 days.
Dunne made regular appearances on NXT throughout his title reign, before officially joining the US roster in 2020 where he picked up the NXT Tag Team Championships with Matt Riddle.
The Bruiserweight recently aligned with Ridge Holland, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan in NXT, where they quickly implemented themselves as a serious threat to the black and gold brand’s champions.
