LA Knight would come face to face with Roman Reigns on Friday Night SmackDown. He would instead get a match with Solo Sikoa.
John Cena would open the October 13th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown welcoming the WWE Universe to the SmackDown season premier. As he was speaking Roman Reigns would cut him off and make his way down to the ring.
Reigns was upset that Cena was there and told him he had already beat him. Instead of Cena challenging Reigns he acknowledged him.
Cena acknowledged the historic Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Title run Roman Reigns is currently holding. Reigns has had the title for over 1,100 days longer than anyone else.
Cena said he has not earned the spot to challenge for Reigns title but he knows who has. LA Knight would make his way out to the ring.
Knight was not afraid to get in the face of the Undisputed WWE Universal Champions face. When Reigns asked who he was Knight told him he is the fastest rising WWE superstar.
Out of nowhere Jimmy Uso attacks Night from behind, but Knight would quickly counter and send Jimmy out of the ring.
Paul Heyman pleaded with Reigns to make him wait, so they left the ring. Solo Sikoa challenge Knight to a match later on.
LA Knight and Solo Sikoa’s match had a great showing of passion and strength by both superstars. Towards the end of the match when it was looking as LA Knight may score the victory Jimmy Uso would attempt to interfere in the match.
Jimmy would try to take out Knight but as he made his way across the ring John Cena would swoop in and deliver an Attitude Adjustment. Sikoa would land a Samoan Spike to Cena. Giving Knight the chance to hit the BFT for the win.
After the match Roman Reigns appears and spears Knight.
