It has been made official that LA Knight and the Miz will have a match at WWE Payback on September 2nd in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
The Miz and LA Knights rivalry is continuing to heat up as the weeks press on. The rivalry really sparked after LA Knight won the Slim Jim Battle Royal and has been gaining more attention then Miz.
The Miz cost him a match on Friday Night SmackDown, just last week. He would take on Austin Theory for a United States Championship number one contender match on August 18th.
The Miz would sit ringside and be a guest commentator. The Miz would first cause a distraction long enough for Austin theory to take out LA Knight.
While LA Knight did gain control back ultimately the Miz would cost him the He would throw Miz over the top rope of the ring and give Austin Theory the chance to give a surprise roll up.
Austin theory won by pinfall with a handful of tights. During the August 21st edition of Monday Night Raw LA Knight would appear on commentary to mess with the Miz.
On the August 25th edition of Friday Night SmackDown he responds to the Miz. He states, “if the Miz “wants to end LA Knight” then he would welcome the challenge.”
To finish his promo, he pays tribute to Bray Wyatt by telling the Miz to “run”.
LA Knight versus Miz is added to the current card for WWE Payback that will take place on September 2nd.
