Archie presents his Wrestling Premier League Table for January 2025, revealing the top 10 wrestlers of the year so far.
The Wrestling Premier League Table is a new idea introduced at Wrestling Republic, with a new article being published each month by yours truly updating the league’s Top 10.
Before we get into this month’s rankings, this is an explanation of how the points system works. Segments and matches on wrestling shows will be rated using the Wrestling Republic rating system. Whatever the star rating is that has been awarded, that will correspond to the amount of points a wrestler gets. For example, if Cody Rhodes has a match/segment rated 5 Stars, then he will gain 5 points.
Here is a rundown of the points system:
Matches: Points correspond to the star rating given (Match must be rated 3.75 or higher to be eligible)
Segments: Points correspond to the star rating given (Segments must be rated 3.75 or higher to be eligible)
Bonus Points:
Being in a title match: 0.5 Point
Wins a title match: 1 Point
Wins a title: 2 Points
Disclaimer: Only wrestlers from WWE, AEW and TNA are going to be eligible for the league table. This is to ensure that I will be able to keep up with everything throughout the year.
Thanks to fellow WR Reviewer, David Sheldon for coming up with the base for this idea. Let’s get into this month’s rankings!
10. Joe Hendry – Points: 15

Probably the best start to the year possible for Joe Hendry believers. Hendry beat Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at TNA Genesis, leading the company into this new and exciting era after the news of the WWE partnership. The new champ also wasted no time in having the first title defense of his reign, as Hendry faced Matt Cardona in the main event of a historic episode of Impact. Let’s see if the Scotsman’s popularity can continue to rise in 2025 following a strong start to the year.
