Former NXT Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane has been dropping strong hints that she is completely done with WWE. Sane has referred to herself as a “former superstar” and hinted at a return to the ring. She has dropped the WWE from her Instagram handle: a classic sign of a wrestler leaving WWE. Her handle went from “kairi_wwe” to “official_kairi.”.
A potential return to the ring would end a year and a half absence, starting in July 2020. This came after she was written off TV with a backstage attack from Bayley. Online, it was revealed that Sane was heading back to Japan where she worked as an ambassador for WWE. Although now it seems she is removed from the company completely.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that she is leaving wrestling all together. She responded to a fan on Twitter who said that they would like to she Sane back in a wrestling ring with only a winking emoji.
Kairi Sane has also listed herself as a former superstar on both Instagram and Twitter. This comes one week after it broke that Kairi Sane has opened her own 24-hour gym in Japan.
There has yet to be word about her departure from WWE or Kairi Sane herself.
