Christian Cage challenged Jungle Boy to a no-holds-barred fight for Sunday’s pay-per-view on Dynamite this past Wednesday. Cage claimed during an in-ring promo that Jungle Boy’s wish to win an AEW singles championship would come true over his “dead body.” Then came a film from Jungle Boy in which he was seen excavating a grave with Cage’s name on the headstone and scenes from their feud interspersed.
Since then, AEW has announced the fight on its social media pages. On Thursday morning, Jungle Boy and Cage will compete against one another for the second time. At All Out 2022, Cage defeated Jungle Boy in the opening fight in just 24 seconds.
Jungle Boy will compete in his fourth singles fight on an AEW pay-per-view on Sunday. He was defeated by Cage at All Out 2022, lost to MJF at Double or Nothing 2020, and triumphed over Luchasaurus in a cage match at Full Gear in November.
Christian Cage’s third singles fight on an AEW pay-per-view will be Revolution. At All Out 2021, he lost to Kenny Omega in an AEW World Championship battle, and at All Out 2022, he quickly defeated Jungle Boy.
AEW Revolution takes place Sunday, March 5, 2023, from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. The official card is below.
