AEW Wrestler Julia Hart revealed the backstage dynamics of ‘House of Black’ while speaking to the Captain’s Corner. She described relationship with her fellow stablemates and her transition to House of Black.
Julia joined House of Black at AEW Double or Nothing this year and in process, she transitioned from a cheerleading character to a dark and sinister character. This was a major breakthrough for 20-year-old superstar as her previous gimmick wasn’t as over with the fans. Alongside her, the House of Black has Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews as it’s members.
Julia said that it was tough for her to make the transition from a fun-loving cheergirl to a dark character because of obvious reasons but now it’s good. She said that she had been sick of cheerleader thing since high school.
In happy hour with Julia Hart, she talked about how it really helps her to work with experienced and talented guys like Black and Brody. She said that House of Black is truly like a family and she feels really happy to be a part of it. She praised the creative minds involved in the stable saying –
“Yeah [it’s good to have the creative outlet that comes with being part of House of Black], and they’re all just so creative too. It’s just really cool to get your heads together and hear what they say or what they think and how to do things.“
After that, Julia went in to describe her relationship with other members of House of Black and how they complement each-other.
“I would say Malakai [Black], he’s like my mentor, my coach and always gives me critiques and gives me homework to do,” Hart Said. “Brody [King] is like my dad. He’s the guy that just takes care of me, makes sure everything’s okay, everything’s all right. I’d say Buddy [Matthews is] like a brother. Just someone that wants to joke around and have fun and a good time.”
“Brody’s like my dad. I got locked out of my car the other week, last week and he helped me get my keys. He helped me with my mask and his wife is great too and she’s like my mom so and his kids are adorable so yeah, they’re all great. The House of Black is really like a big family. Everyone’s just great and I couldn’t ask for anyone better to help me with stuff and they’re always there with advice.”via postwrestling
