At GCW Homecoming Part 1, Jon Moxley announced he would give Nick Gage a final championship match as long as Nick Gage puts his career on the line.
Current AEW and GCW World Champion Jon Moxley had his latest defense of the GCW World championship at GCW Homecoming Part 1 against GCW mainstay Effy.
After the match, Moxley got on the mic and demanded GCW give him more competition stating defending the GCW World Championship was getting easy for him.
The infamous Bells tolled as Nick Gage made his return to GCW in better shape than he was the last time he cut a promo. Nick Gage being led by his manager Dewey Donovan and the only contracted talent to GCW.
Nick Gage went on about how he didn’t know if his career was or should be over and proclaimed that if he can’t take the title off of Jon Moxley, he’d rather have Jon put a bullet in his head.
Jon Moxley recalls their match last October at GCW Fight Club: Mox Vs Gage, where Jon Moxley defended the championship after beating Matt Cardona.
Moxley says that Gage’s body got the message that its time to retire but his brain didn’t. This statement refers to Nick Gage’s last fight at GCW War Ready where he took on Minoru Suzuki.
After Moxley laid the challenge out to Nick Gage, Gage closed the show by saying of course he is going to accept it. Gage then closed the show with his famous MDK chants wanting Moxley to hear it in the back.
When will this match take place?
It is currently unknown for when this match will take place. Moxley said he gets to name the time and the place if Gage accepted the match.
The next big weekend for GCW contains four shows in Chicago from September 2-4.
The next time GCW is holding a weekend in Atlantic City is October 8th and 9th, so an educated guess would be that Gage Vs Moxley 2 happened that weekend.
