Per PWInsider Jeff Hardy will not be returning to AEW until his legal issues are settled contrary to what Matt Hardy said on his recent podcast.
Last month on his podcast “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” Matt Hardy teased the return of brother Jeff Hardy.
However, recent reports from PWInsider have claimed that Jeff Hardy will not be returning until his legal issues after his DUI case is done .
As you may remember Jeff Hardy was arrested on a DUI shortly before The Hardy’s were meant to have a triple threat tag ladder match for the AEW Tag Team Championships.
A match that The Hardy’s were rumored to win giving them a huge boost of momentum.
After his DUI arrest AEW and Owner Tony Khan announced that Jeff Hardy would be going into rehab and would not be able to return until he completed his treatment.
Since then Matt Hardy has given updates on his brothers road to recover and sobriety.
Jeff Hardy’s Recent Sobriety Issues
All this happening after Jeff was let go by WWE for walking out during a house show match which many people speculated was due to him being under the influence .
Though nothing was ever proven Hardy being arrested for his DUI in June lead some to believe he was under the influence at the time of the house show.
But WWE had offered Hardy a chance to return to the company and an introduction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Which Hardy declined and would join his brother Matt in AEW making his debut saving Matt from a beatdown by Andrade and co.
We will have to see if The Hardys can regain the momentum Jeff came into AEW with once his legal issues are finally put to bed.
