Jade Cargill opened up about the possibilities of challenging for the AEW Women’s Title, claiming it would be disrespectful to go for the title right now.
Jade Cargill arrived to All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and has already become a huge star in the AEW Women’s division. Just months after her arrival, Jade Cargill became the inaugural TBS Champion and holds a perfect 39-0 singles record.
In addition to her amazing singles record, Cargill has also surpassed WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg’s legendary 500-day undefeated streak.
Due to her high level of dominance in the entire women’s division, many fans have been wanting Cargill to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Title, currently held by injured Champion Thunder Rosa and Interim Champion Toni Storm.
During a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Jade Cargill revealed that she thinks it would be disrespectful for her to challenge for the title right now. When explaining her point, Cargill said:
“I’m two years in the game. I think it would be like a total disrespect if I go for both belts right now. I’m just gonna give these women the time and grace to do their best until I decide I want to go for the other belt. So, honestly, it’s on my time.”
Jade Cargill And Her Goals As The TBS Champion
In addition to what she stated before, Jade Cargill explained her ambitions as the reigning TBS Champion. About this, Cargill stated she wants to make it more special than the main title.
When addressing on this, Jade Cargill said: “Let me just give them grace, and give them time to get themselves together, and get that little shine that they need. Because once I take over, it’s done. Everything is on my time, and I’m just relaxed, chilling. I’m enjoying this belt right now, building it up to make it special—more special than the main belt right now. That’s my goal.”
