Yesterday at around 12:05 JST, J Sports announced on their official J Sports WWE Twitter account that they will be cutting ties with WWE ending their TV partnership

J Sports has put out this statement

“We will end broadcasts of WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. As well as on J Sports On-Demand’s WWE Pack will be discontinued. For people who are subscribed to the WWE Pack, you will need to cancel your subscription.”

J Sports has been WWE’s Japanese TV partner for many years as they broadcast live Raw and Smackdown shows for the Japanese audience on their TV program. They also have a VOD service named J Sports On-Demand. J Sports On-Demand offers live PPVs with Japanese commentary with Kairi Sane and Raw and Smackdown shows both live with their WWE Pack. They also show highlights of RAW and Smackdown for people who missed it on TV. Now, J Sports will stop programming WWE from December 31 and discontinue the WWE Pack on J Sports On-Demand from January 31.

WWE will be going into 2022 without a Japanese TV service. There is still no talks of WWE and some other TV program in Japan.
