Zelina Vega has been on fire as of late, with her showing pro wrestling fans how good she can be. Vega has had some great matches and has been in storylines for the Smackdown women’s championship. She is coming off a win against Lacey Evans. This meant she qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match. You could argue this is Vega’s best run in the company to date.

Vega debuted on NXT in 2017 where she was mostly a manager to Andrade “Cien” Almas. For the majority of Vega’s time on the yellow brand she was a heel. The 32-year-old carried this role once making it to the main roster. Vega was the first ever Queen of the Ring which shows that she can get the job done as a singles competitor. Having said that Vega can succeed with others as she is a former tag team champion. This happen when she teamed up with Carmella in 2021. Vega has had some great times in the company and will look to have even more.

In recent years, Vega has teamed up with Legado del Fantasma in NXT. The group has gain popularity since aligning themselves with Rey Mysterio which resulted in the reincarnation of the LWO. Before Wrestlemania she was in a lot of mixed tag team matches with Santos Escobar against members of the Judgement Day. Yet, post-mania is when Vega started shining, this led to an unforgettable moment at Backlash in Puerto Rico where the crowd was fully behind her. Vega put in a decent showing against Rhea Ripley but came up short. As previously stated, she has qualified for the Money in the Bank match. This will give Vega a great platform to showcase her skill and grow her career even further.
How far can Vega go in WWE?
Now that she qualified for the Money in the Bank match, it could suggest that there are big things in her future. Vega has shown a great ability to get over as a babyface, she has had good receptions from audiences on recent Smackdown shows. Even though she has achieved a lot in WWE, the one thing that is missing is a run with a singles championship. The body of work Vega has accumulated shows that she has the ability to have a run with a top title.
