The start of Becky Lynch’s second NXT run is upon us and this is why I think it will be great for everyone.
This week on NXT, The Man challenged Tiffany Stratton for her NXT Women’s Championship. After a brilliant match, Becky was able to hit the Manhandle Slam for the victory and become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
The reaction to this match has been met with mostly positive voices, although there are some divided opinions on this decision. But I think this is the right decision from NXT for many reasons.
Why is Becky’s NXT run a good thing?
Becky coming back to NXT is ideal for the brand’s talented women’s wrestlers, particularly for Tiffany Stratton.
It’s clear to see that Stratton has the potential to become a star in WWE, so working with a legend like Becky can only be a good thing for her. Not only will she become a better wrestler from it, but it’s also a chance to show WWE that she can hold her own with a big star like The Man. After her rivalry with Becky, I have no doubt that Tiffany will be more than ready for a main roster call up, and it will just be about when is the right time to bring her to RAW or Smackdown.
But it’s not just Stratton that will benefit from this, Becky can work with other incredibly talented wrestlers in NXT like Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria and Blair Davenport, whether that’s in matches or even just a segment. A lot of these women in NXT looked up to Becky I’m sure, so a chance to work with a veteran like her is always a fantastic opportunity.
Becky is also a massive draw. If you don’t believe me then just look at NXT bringing in an average of 850,000 viewers on Tuesday because she was in the main event. That’s not too far from what AEW gets in viewership, which is massive for the brand.
But mainly, it means The Man finally becomes NXT Women’s Champion, making her a Grand Slam Champion in WWE, joining her fellow Four Horsewomen, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Bayley in that achievement. She absolutely deserves this accomplishment.

That is how the brand will benefit from Becky’s NXT run.
She has got a proven record of helping turn wrestlers into stars, as you can see from her most recent RAW Women’s Championship run, making the likes of Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan bigger stars than they already were. I have no doubt that Becky will help do the same for Tiffany and other talented wrestlers as well.
