Honestly: AEW Went ALL OUT last night

Let me start by saying as a long time wrestling fan it is almost like a sixth sense when a show comes together and it just feels special and that it is MUST SEE and AEW All Out 2021 had that feel. Personally, I never bought a AEW PPV before but around Saturday, it really started to hit me that this could be a really special show and by Sunday afternoon, I was going to pay my $50 and hope that my gut instinct was right about this show and I didn’t throw $50 away…well needless to say I feel that I got my money’s worth. As it says in my bio, I’ve been watching wrestling for a very long time and I can honestly say that AEW All Out 2021 was one of the best PPVs I have ever seen in all my years of being a fan from any company.

What AEW did last night is they threw the gauntlet down and said WE ARE THE BEST PRO-WRESTLING COMPANY ON THE PLANET! Honestly, if this is the type of product that they are going to produce on a consistent basis now, then yes they most certainly are the best wrestling product on the planet. After watching this show, it reminded me of Wrestlemania 14, that was the show that Kevin Nash and Kevin Sullivan both said changed the tone and shifted the war in the WWF’s favor over WCW just from a build-up, production and overall in ring compelling product. I’m not saying AEW is going to overtake the WWE but last night they showed the world that yes we can blow the WWE product of today out of the water.

The fact WWE let so many talents go whether through release or in the case of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson through free agency is insane. As first reported here exclusively, WWE appears more focused and interested in streamlining the company to make it more attractive for a sale to Disney but in the mean time they are taking their eye off the ball and AEW is running down the end zone with it. The way the direction is going, what exactly would Disney be buying a video library, trademarks and a shitty product? WWE needs to wake up and give the world a better product and if what AEW did last night isn’t that wakeup call then I don’t know if anything will do it.

I wanted to give my thoughts and comments on the show last night but for a full review, I’d recommend this official review from Wrestling Republic.

    THE BUY-IN – 10-Man Tag Team Match

To be perfectly honest, this match was kinda all over the place for me and to me was not an enticing match to motivate someone should buy the show if they weren’t going to already. I have been a fan of Jungle Boy since AEW’s launch as he has tremendous talent in that ring. His biggest weakness is on the mic but the kid can go in that ring. Orange Cassidy to be honest is a gimmick that just doesn’t connect with me. I think what annoys me most is the fake shin kicks that he does, it is too fake and goofy and what bothers me the most is the guy can go in the ring when he cuts out the phony stuff. So for me I’d love to see more of that Orange Cassidy and the less of the phony. Private Party are a very fun team to watch in the ring and this match they once again showed their athleticism. Like I said overall it was a forgettable match leading into the PPV for me.
