Over this past weekend, GCW announced during their show Fight Club, it was announced that GCW’s first show of 2022 shall take place in a legendary building with an extreme past.
During the show, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale announced to the crowd at Fight Club, that the first show of 2022 for GCW will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom. In an announcement video, a selection of the GCW roster was shown within the legendary ballroom each of them listed off the negative things they were told throughout their careers. GCW mainstays like Nick Gage, Effy, Allie Katch, AJ Gray and Jimmy Lloyd appeared as well as All Elite Wrestling’s Joey Janela also former GCW World Champion Matt Cardona appeared as well.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has a past with the extreme style that GCW follows as this location held two famous wrestling PPV those being ECW One Night Stand 2005 and 2006. As well the original run of ECW would perform at this venue in its later years.
With GCW now appearing at this legendary arena, will it now be a mainstay for the company in the future?
