Killer Kross, also known as Karrion Kross back at his WWE days, will arrive in New Japan Pro Wrestling on April 1st, most specifically on Lonestar Shootout.
The announcement was made through a video on the official NJPW YouTube account. The clip shows Kross beating people up on a gym, to later deliver a message to “The King” Minoru Suzuki and claiming that time’s running out for them to finally meet face to face.
Killer Kross arrived to WWE in 2020 and had an important run in NXT. During this run, he took part on interesting rivalries with many of NXTs top stars in the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Santos Escobar, Keith Lee and Finn Balor.
He also became the fourth men to win the NXT Championship twice, defeating the already mentioned Lee (NXT TakeOver 30) and Balor (NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver), and the only one to the date in having just one defeat in the former black and gold brand.
He would then lose the title on TakeOver 36 against Samoa Joe and proceed to have a forgettable run at Monday Night Raw before being released from WWE back in November 2021, along with his wife Scarlett Bordeaux and other fellow wrestlers.
This will definitely be Kross’s first big step since his WWE release, after competing for a brief time on Major League Wrestling and Control Your Narrative.
Here at Wrestling Republic we wish Killer Kross the best on this new chapter of his professional career.
