Samuel Shaw, formerly known as Dexter Lumis, files for a new trademark name.
The wrestler filed for a new trademark name, the term “Hatchet,” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 13.
According to the files and Michael E. Dockins, it was filed for entertainment and clothing purposes. Here is the description of the filing:
“IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Bandanas; Hooded sweatshirts
IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”
Shaw has grown up in the world of wrestling and made his name known by being part of the roster of Impact and later on NXT, where he had a memorable run with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Indi Hartwell.
Samuel was released by WWE back in April.
After his released Shaw has been selling merch on Pro Wrestling Tees with the hatchet artwork.
