Shannon Claire Spruil, who was known as ‘Daffney’ in WCW & TNA, has tragically passed away at the age of 46.
Thousands of fans tweeted out their support for the former WCW Cruiserweight Champion earlier today, after she revealed on social media last night that she was struggling with her mental health.
Shimmer Wrestling tweeted out the following announcement “We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger @screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time. I will miss you my logical sister from another mister.” -Lexie Fyfe

Our thoughts are with the family of Spruil at this time, and as always, here at Wrestling Republic we urge anyone who needs help to reach out for it. Mental health is just as important as physical health, if not more so, and it is vital that as a society we continue on the journey to prioritising it.
