EXCLUSIVE: Top AEW Tag Team Open To Jumping To WWE After Contracts Expire

Wrestling Republic have learned that a top tag team in All Elite Wrestling are looking into leaving the company once their contracts expire after being unhappy with their booking over the past year.

Despite having a strong start with AEW when they first signed, their momentum sunk through the pandemic era and have recently told people close to them that they are highly considering leaving the promotion once their contracts expire, with their ideal next step being WWE.

With WWE’s new development plan being building athletes from the start, it remains unclear if WWE will have any interest in signing them. However it could look good from a WWE perspective for two AEW originals to jump ship, making WWE look like the stronger promotion.

This isn’t the first time we have heard of AEW stars being unhappy with their booking, however in the case of three major stars, the company has seemingly improved their booking since privately stating their unhappiness, with all three being currently involved in fairly major feuds.

However one talent who previously stated their unhappiness with their booking is still said to be considering a jump to WWE in 2024, but is much happier in the spot they are in now in AEW, compared to a few months ago.

We’ve heard multiple times off multiple different stars within AEW that there is a concern about the amount of talent that the company has signed over the last six months, and with multiple huge free agents available at this time, it’s a strong possibility there is more on the way. While some in the company are worried too many stars are being signed, others believe that it creates a stronger competition and brings more eyes to the promotion, so invite the challenge.
