During a recent appearance on Wrestling Republic’s Soul Sessions, Renzo Rose commented on his recent match with former WWE Superstar Carlito and explained the reason why he took to Reddit before the match.
Renzo Rose is considered by many as one of the most important rising stars not only in Italy, but in the entire European pro wrestling scene. After finding it hard to train in Italy, Renzo Rose received some valuable advice from former WWE Superstars and decided to move to Dublin, Ireland to take his career to the next level.
After moving to Ireland, ‘The Greatest Italian Wrestler’ made a huge name for himself with his appearances at the Dublin-based promotion Over The Top Wrestling, most commonly known as OTT.
While speaking to Soul on the most recent edition of The Soul Sessions, Renzo Rose opened up about his match with former WWE Superstar Carlito, as well as revealing the interesting story of how he took to Reddit to learn how to avoid Carlito’s apple spit. About this, he said:
“I did the post but I didn’t say out loud like in Twitter or in Instagram. I remember it was on my birthday and I was like at my day around and I was sitting on the couch, I just rang home and sitting on the couch.” He continued by saying “I was like I need to promote that match better, then I’ll make a post on Reddit.”
“And yeah, I just made the post. Just for fun honestly (laughs). And the replies that I got, they were also very funny. I got some traction, like I got some new followers and also more people wanted to see the match.”
Renzo Rose On How Reddit’s Advice Helped Him On His Match With Carlito
In addition to what he stated before, ‘The Italian Rose’ moved on to explain how the advice he received on Reddit helped him to avoid Carlito’s apple spit. When reflecting on this, he said:
“Actually the advice worked well because in the match I didn’t get the apple spit, my manager did but not me. But I still lost the match, but technically I take it as a win because I didn’t get the apple spit. So it was a good help, let’s say that.”
