The Rated R Superstar’s latest return has certainly increased the hype for WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view, Money in the Bank. We witnessed Edge beating the hell out of Jimmy Uso in the latest episode of SmackDown. He is set to unleash all his wrath on Roman Reigns in the upcoming WWE’s PPV.
The Ultimate Opportunist was ready to go one-on-one with The Tribal Chief at Wrestlemania 37. However, things didn’t go as planned. The former found himself in a triple threat main event with Daniel Bryan as the third addition.
More than 3 months have passed since Edge competed in a WWE match. But he looks in good shape now. Fans are also expecting to get an awesome in-ring performance from him.
Who will be Edge’s opponent at Summerslam?

Considering Roman’s current spectacular heel title reign, it is safe to say that we should not expect Edge to become the new Universal champion at this year’s MITB event. I’ll be surprised if that happens.
Additionally, John Cena has hinted at his much-awaited WWE return. His recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show proved that he was eager to return to the squared circle.
According to the latest rumours, the wrestling promotion is interested in building up the Cena vs Reigns match for the biggest pro wrestling event of the summer. Furthermore, we cannot ignore Seth Rollins here. The Drip has already shown a lot of anger after Edge received a title shot against Reigns. It seems like we are going to watch two big events in the upcoming Summerslam pay-per-view.

We have no confirmed reports about Edge’s future feuds and storylines. It is not clear whether the Canadian WWE superstar will remain with the company or not after Summerslam. We will update this section as soon as we receive any official news from WWE regarding Edge’s future in the company.
