Friday September 1st AEW held a men’s tag team battle royal to determine the number one contender for the Men’s Tag Team Championships.
There were many men’s tag teams competing in the battle royal. It was exciting to watch and fans were on the edge of their seats.
Teams that competed include the Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis), Action Andretti and Darius Martin, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta), and the Butcher and the Blade.
More teams include Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver), Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona). As well as the Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy), Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd), Righteous (Dutch and Vincent), and Wingmen (Peter Avalon and Ryan Nemeth).
Near the end of the match it was looking like John Silver would be eliminated from the battle royal. Alex Reynolds would come in with the save to keep the teams chances alive.
Reynolds would catch Silver off the apron and place him on the stairs to then reenter the ring.
While Trent Beretta of the Best Friends was hanging on the apron after just eliminating Mark Davis, Silver took advantage and eliminated Beretta.
Silver won the men’s tag team battle royal for himself and teammate Alex Reynolds.
The Dark Order have become the number one contenders for the Men’s Tag Team Championships.
Reynolds and Silver will compete against MJF and Adam Cole at AEW All Out.
They will challenge MJF and Adam Cole for their Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships on Sunday September 3rd.
