On the February 2nd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Bayley made her WrestleMania 40 decision for which champion she will be facing.
Bayley won the Women’s Royal Rumble match on Saturday, January 27th at the Tropicana Field, in St. Petersburg Florida. Bayley also has now set the longest record for time spent in a Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
When on the January 29th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw it was looking as if she would challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship. Nia Jax would take out Ripley and say she had to challenge IYO SKY.
This would immediately spark social media buzz, wondering who she will face and if she would really face her stablemate.
On the February 2nd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Bayley begins by talking about defending both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship titles at WrestleMania. She also defended the Women’s Tag Team titles and even hosted it.
She goes on to say having Damage CTRL there to support her makes it very special. Bayley goes on to talk about how Damage CTRL has always been there and is like a family to her.
As she is saying this the rest of Damage CTRL laugh hysterically. To be the best she says she has to beat the best, but sometimes the match is more personal.
It can be proving people wrong, even if they are supposed to support you. She then goes on to speak Japanese and show them she has understood everything they have said.
She only wanted Damage CTRL to be the best. Kairi Sane and Asuka blindside Bayley and take her down. She hits Asuka and Sane with a kendo stick to even the odds.
Damage CTRL leaves ringside and heads back up the ramp, Bayley announces she with face IYO SKY at WrestleMania.
