Changes have been made to the match card of AEW Double or Nothing due to injury, as well as the Trio Titles now set to be defended.
On May 24ths edition of Rampage The Acclaimed cut a promo claiming they have been running the trio’s division. They also made sure to note that they will be in Las Vegas during the Double or Nothing buy-in.
On May 26ths edition of AEW Rampage Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed had a compelling victory over Rush, Preston Vance, and Dralistico of La Faccion.
They then cut a promo stating “The House always wins, but never bet on black, because everyone loves The Acclaimed”. They also teased going after The House of Black who hold the AEW World Trios Championship. The trio title holders are Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews.
Later on Ethan Page and The Gunns made quick work of three local jobbers. Shortly after the match the Hardyz came out with Isiah Kassidy and announced his injury.
Due to Isiah Kassidy not being eligible to compete HOOK has been named as his replacement. The Hardyz have already teamed up with HOOK previously this month, it should be an exciting match up.
Now the match will be the Hardyz and HOOK versus Ethan Page and The Gunns at Double or Nothing buy-in.
The broadcast team has also confirmed there will be an AEW World Trios Championship Title defense at Double or Nothing. The House of Blacks opponents have yet to be named.
