WWE surprised fans last year by bringing back old-school pay-per-views as themes for NXT TakeOvers and special episodes of the weekly shows. This included shows such as The Great American Bash, Halloween Havoc, New Year’s Evil and In Your House. Io Shirai taking the NXT Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair in the main event. According to Fightful Select (subscription required), NXT will once again be bringing back TakeOver: In Your House next month on Sunday June 13th. After a long time with no new faces in the 205 Live Roster, this week, 205 Live featured two debuting wrestlers. Alex Zayne made his 205 Live debut under his new ring name, and Ikimen Jiro was a part of this episode too, in what was a decent episode of 205 Live. AVERAGE: A debuting Ari Sterling (FKA Alex Zayne!) battled with Samir Singh to kick off this episode of 205 Live. Zayne won the match and showed some of his unique offense, however, it was clear he’s only getting started. The match was fairly short and could have done…

After last week’s very good episode, we look to see if NXT UK can put on another banger of a show which included a Loser Leaves NXT UK match! AVERAGE SQUASH: Ilja Dragunov defeated Dave Mastiff via referee stoppage after Mastiff got busted open. This was very strange, but not necessarily terrible. GOOD: After the match, Dragunov was shown backstage and said that he needs to work on his self control. This was good storytelling. GOOD: Gallus, minus Joe Coffey, were backstage & Rampage Brown walked up and asked where Joe was & when Wolfgang said he wasn’t there, Brown…

AEW finally had their blood and guts match last night on live dynamite May 6th 2021 and in my opinion was better than any NXT WarGames match. NXT had their first WarGames match on November 18th 2017 and every year since it has become a yearly tradition for the brand and I think they have changed people expectations of the WarGames match for the worst. NXT unlike past WarGames matches decide to have no roof on the structure which I think harms the purpose of the match to have no escape and I feel the reason for the structure…

After a decent episode of NXT last week, they’ve prepared with some fire this week, because NXT this week was featured with a couple of matches with stipulation. Leon Ruff & Isaiah “Swerve” Scott will end their rivalry together with a falls count anywhere match. The Way is also ready to become the NXT Women’s tag team champion before even facing Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon. MUST WATCH: NXT started with a falls count anywhere match between Leon Ruff & Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. This match started quickly where both competitors gave their best to pin each other in the ring.…
