Starting next month, I will be doing a monthly list of the best matches I have seen in that particular month in no particular order and pick one match each month as the match of the month. These will be my own personal subjective lists and not the official Wrestling Republic lists. Those matches of the month will take up the first 12 slots in my annual top 25 matches of the year and the remaining 13 slots will be the other top matches from my monthly lists. The top 25-matches list is in order unlike the monthly that will…

We’ve got to feel for AEW match maker, Tony Khan. A few weeks back, Tony Khan got caught with a notebook with the card for AEWs next pay-per-view Full Gear scribbled over it. I for one do not blame Tony Khan. We have all had to sit through a depressing game simply because we have that one friend who supports an embarrassing team. In an unrelated note if anyone is in search for a 76ers Ben Simmons jersey please contact me below. Now imagine your mate, or in this case your father, owns the team! Tom Brady is heading into…

AEW since its birth has been loaded up with many factions. Most of which have at least one combo of what would make an amazing Tag Team Trio. For some time now it has been rumored that there will be a six-man Tag Team Championship, or as I like to call Trio’s Champions, coming to AEW. Here is my Top 10 for which tag team trio could be the first to win the (rumored) inaugural Trio Tag team titles. 10. Big E has won the WWE Championship and for the time being all is right in the world. Ettore Ewan the man known as Big E Langston is exactly what the WWE universe wanted. Even though it seems WWE is throwing shit at a wall right now to see what sticks with looming competition from AEW and Monday Night Football. However, a deserved champion will always be a deserved champion, and Big E is a deserved champion. The moment that deserved champion is crowned is never not a feel good moment. Like the time before Dark Side of the Ring…

The last couple of weeks in the wrestling business has been eventful. We have seen a brand new world champion, a brand new NXT and our once beloved Tommy Dreamer pulled the biggest heel turn in the history of professional wrestling. The turning point for all this besides Dreamer’s descent to the dark side has to be due to the new kids on the block –All Elite Wrestling. The hugely pivotal event was in fact All Elite Wrestling’s All Out pay-per-view. Unlike Joe Biden’s pull out game, All Elite Wrestling covered all their bases. If you haven’t already, invest in…

Photo Credits – WWE, WCW, Impact, Warner Brothers, YouTube and NJPW I’ve seen probably thousands of wrestling figures from multiple different companies over the years. So I wanted to put together a list of the ten wrestling figures I’d love to either see made for the first time ever or maybe re-released in an updated way. So here is my list in no particular order: Three Faces of Foley (Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack) Years ago Jakks Pacific released a three pack, with these figures and Mattel has released the characters separately but I for one would love to…

Photo Credit – WWE The Phenomenal One AJ Styles has a resume that checks off nearly every pro wrestling promotion. Styles has had classics all over the world. Many people would agree that no matter who ‘The Phenomenal One’ is in the ring with; he’s bound to make them look like a Million bucks. Although AJ Styles has spent more time outside of WWE than he has in it, in his short time in WWE, Styles has been apart of a plethora of classic matchups. Allow me to highlight my opinion of his top 10 matches in a WWE ring.…

Photo Credit – WhatCulture It pretty much goes without saying that wrestling is a dangerous profession, with injuries and accidents being an accepted risk of the job, to the point where its almost guaranteed that wrestlers will suffer some form of long term suffering at some stage of their careers. It’s part of what makes them extraordinary people. Extraordinary they might be, but this doesn’t stop them from the trials and tribulations of being a regular person, and are just as susceptible to freak accidents and the subsequent injuries as us mere mortals. Whether it’s while making an entrance, filming…
