On the October 13th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Carlito was attacked during an interview with Kayla Braxton.
Backstage on the October 13th SmackDown Carlito would do an interview with Kayla Braxton. The two went on to talk about his return to WWE at Fastlane.
When asked how he felt his return was he went on to say that it was “cool”. The interview would then be interrupted.
The interview was interrupted by none other than Bobby Lashley. Lashley would go on to welcome Carlito back to the WWE. Carlito wasted no time to challenge Bobby Lashley to a match.
Quickly after Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford (The Street Profits) would appear out of nowhere and attack Carlito from behind with a steel chair. After some time, Adam Pearce and Jason Jordan finally broke up the backstage attack.
Later on, Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and Zelina Vega (The LWO) along side Adam Pearce, Jason Jordan, and Dragon Lee would check in on Carlito. While checking in on him Bayley would interrupt.
Bayley would complain about IYO SKY not having a celebration for holding the WWE Women’s Championship. This did not sit well with Zelina Vega and she made it clear.
The pair argued for a little backstage until Adam Pearce would tell them to settle it in the ring. Zelina Vega would end up losing the match to Bayley.
Santos Escobar will face Montez Ford on the October 20th edition of WWE SmackDown. This is retribution for Ford attacking Escobar’s ally Carlito backstage.
