There have been rumors circulating around the internet as of late, speculating about the return of Brock Lesnar. According to a previous report by Fightful, the WWE have “plans in order” for the former WWE Champions return. Andrew Zarian has also reported that the WWE originally wanted Brock Lesnar for Summerslam, but went for Plan B with John Cena.
Dave Meltzer has also previously reported that Brock Lesnar Vs Bobby Lashley is not planned for Summerslam and that there are people within the WWE that don’t want Lesnar to return until, the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is ready to start a program with him.
Now there comes a new report by Andrew Zarian via the Mat Men Podcast, about the possible return of “The Beast Incarnate”. Zarian reports that the WWE wanted Lesnar, but it didn’t work out for creative reasons. Zarian also reports that they wanted Lesnar to have a commitment to live shows. However, Zarian does add that the two parties are still working things out and a Lesnar return will happen unless “something goes tremendously terrible”. This report may indicate why the WWE seemingly went for John Cena instead of Brock Lesnar to face Roman Reigns at Summerslam.
