Britt Baker has commented on wanting AEW to be as popular and noticeable as the WWE
Despite AEW having a roster including huge stars such as CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Sting, it hasn’t yet reached the heights of the WWE, despite some of its impressive successes in its 4 year history.
One of AEW’s more established stars is the former AEW Women’s Champion, Britt Baker, whom recently on the Absolute Geek Podcast, stated that she believes AEW’s next goal is to get more people to know about All Elite Wrestling. Baker said…
“For most people in the world, WWE is the number one wrestling promotion. You can pick out anybody on the street, they know what WWE is. Not everybody knows what AEW is yet, and I wanna get to a point where it is super mainstream and we do more entertainment and mainstream crossovers so that they can see one of our stars and they go, ‘Oh, that person’s a wrestler from AEW,’ not just, ‘who is that person?’ (H/T ringside news.com)
So I think that’s what’s next for us is just growing massively because we have a successful show, we have a great show, we have great leadership, we have great wrestlers, we have a great product. Let’s get more eyes on it because it’s so great and we should have more eyes on it.” (H/T ringsidenews.com)
One of AEW’s main objectives to be able to reach this goal will be to try and get more of the general public to watch AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite and Friday Night Rampage respectively with the recent ratings showing AEW Dynamite doing 938,000 viewers to WWE Monday Night Raw’s 2.3 million viewers.
