WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has come out claiming fellow WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has never been able to wrestle.
As mentioned both Bret & Goldberg are in the WWE Hall of Fame. Bret Hart was inducted in 2006. Goldberg was inducted in 2018. In a K&S Wrestlefest fan signing that was streamed on Facebook Live. Bret Hart went as far as saying Goldberg can’t wrestle he should also be removed from the WWE Hall of Fame. Bret Hart said:
“I always thought that if Goldberg got into the Hall of Fame, then Horowitz should’ve gone into the Hall of Fame. Horowitz can actually wrestle. Goldberg never could. I think he got in there for hurting everybody he worked with.”
What Caused The Grudge Between Bret Hart And Goldberg?
‘The Hitman’ famously held a grudge against the former WWE Universal Champion. This went back to their WCW days. Bret and Goldberg collided at the 1999 WCW PPV Starrcade. It was in this bout where a mule kick from Goldberg to Bret caused a concussion. Bret ultimately won the match in controversial circumstances however the fallout was nothing to celebrate about. The mule kick from Goldberg ultimately led to the ‘Hitman’ retiring closing down a glittering career.
Bret Hart had previously forgiven Goldberg for the botched spot. However, it seems like a case of forgive but don’t forget for ‘The Hitman’. Goldberg has gone on record confirming that the spot was purely accidental.
Although retired Bret Hart is set to manage FTR for their upcoming match at Big Time Wrestling Show in Brooklyn. Goldberg has previously made sporadic appearances in WWE with his last appearance coming in Elimination Chamber earlier this year in Saudi Arabia losing to Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
