Big Swole (real name Aerial Hull) took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce that she would be leaving AEW after opting not to sign a new contract with the promotion.
Swole arrived in AEW at the 2019 All Out pay-per-view and signed with the company that December. She spent most of 2020 feuding with Dr. Britt Baker, though the latter spent the year unable to compete due to injury. She defeated Baker in a cinematic “Tooth and Nail Match” at 2020 All Out pay-per-view, then challenged Hikaru Shida for the October AEW Women’s World Championship.
At All Out 2020, she was able to defeat Britt Baker. Unfortunately, Swole was sidelined for a brief time due to her battling Crohns disease. Now, she has taken to Twitter today to reveal that she has come to a mutual agreement with Tony Khan and will not be renewing her contract with the promotion.
Swole only wrestled 21 matches for the promotion in 2021. Most of them occurred on AEW Dark and only one during the Casino Battle Royale at All Out 2021.
Big Swole’s last match was a win over Allie Katch on the November 9 episode of AEW Dark.
