IYO SKY retains her WWE Women’s Championship by using the title against Charlotte Flair. Damage CTRL attacks Flair and Bianca Belair returns.
Backstage on October 13th Nick Aldis made the match between Charlotte Flair and IYO SKY official. This is one of the first things he has done since becoming the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager.
On the October 20th edition of Friday Night SmackDown Flair challenged SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship in a one on one match up. Of Course Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL were out at ringside.
The match was fast paced and had the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats the entire time. There were many times Flair and Sky could have won the match but both women refused to give up easily.
There were many times in the match that Bayley or Dakota Kai interfered keeping the match going for IYO SKY.
While Flair attempted to hit the spear to end the match she collided head first into the WWE Women’s Championship belt given to her by Dakota Kai. Sadly the Official never saw so there would be no disqualification. SKY rolled Flair up and won the match retaining her championship.
After the match Bayley and Sky would beat down Flair using the numbers game to their advantage. Bianca Belair returns to take out Damage CTRL. Belair has not been seen competing since August 18th. She was injured by Damage CTRL leaving her out of action.
Bianca Belair would make quick work of all three members of Damage CTRL and hit Bayley with a KOD.
Belair and Flair look to continue a very temporary alliance. Both Flair and Belair have their eyes on Sky’s WWE Women’s Championship.
